  1. We hired a motorbike and got a motorboat from the park for 1hr for two persons at 1000 batt total .We enjoyed the trip so much we returned a few days later around 3pm and hired a two person kayak ( 20o batt an hr) .it was fantastic .We paddled downstream and saw loads of monkeys. We even had three monkeys jump on our kayak looking for food.If you don’t want the monkeys to jump on ur kayak don’t paddle too close to the bank.we had two monkeys fight on our boat which made me a bit nervous as it rocked the boat a bit, but it was a great experience and well worth doing. We only did one hr kayak but saw monkeys almost immediately so it was the best 200 batt trip we did

  2. Nice destination for relax forest river sunrise..if some one need to back to nature i reccoment here Tung Yee Peng Village krabi koh lanta Thailand

  3. The walkway around the mangroves is about 0.8km. Interesting to see the boats and kayaks on the river or estuary. Did not try kayaking as we arrived late and stores were shut. Plenty of monkeys on the path.

  4. We had visited this attraction earlier in the year and decided to have another look just in case there had been some improvement. Sadly they answer was no! In fact everything looked so neglected that we wondered if it had been like this pre Covid. Wooden walk ways and signs were rotting away and despite the presence of a number of long tailed boats, there was absolutely no sign of life…even the monkeys had disappeared! We wandered around the concrete walkways and it is an interesting walk though the mangroves and it really is a shame that it has been allowed to deteriorate into its present condition. All that can be hoped is that if there is a resurgence in tourism, then money will be found to renovate what could be a really good visitor attraction for Koh Lanta. We would love to see it restored.

  5. I booked a morning longtail cruise around here and it was pretty fun. I was the only person on the boat. There’s plenty to see like birds, monkeys which jumped on the boat, jumping fish and mangroves. It’s worth a look if looking for something to do in Ko Lanta.

  6. Before that trip with longtailboat to mangroveforest I was little bit scared of monkeys… but not anymore! Our boatdriver asked if it is okay ”monkey on the boat?” A little monkey then travelled with us some time. It swimmed to the boat because boatdriver had apple and so on as a bait. Not only monkeys but those mangroveforests themselfs are amazing! And we saw big jellyfishes and small mudfishes too. That trip took over 1 hour. The restaurant service in the morning is not so good, but you can get thai tea or coke/sprite/water and ice cream at least. I recommend this trip by longtailboat!

  7. The first thing to note at Thung Yee Pheng is that the entrance fee is the same for foreigners as Thai visitors and that is rare in Thailand! 40 THB is very good value. Certainly, this attraction is improving from when we first visited and it’s possible to walk through the mangroves or hire a boat or kayak. We chose to walk and being low tide, the intricate patterns of the mangrove tree roots were very much in evidence. On the whole, the walk is in the shade and the mud is alive with tiny crabs and other mud dwellers. We could hear monkeys but, on this visit, they weren’t in evidence. If they do appear, take care particularly if they have young with them.Strolling around takes about an hour.Parking as by the entrance and nearby is a section illustrating the history of the mangrove forest.Well worth visiting.
