This was absolutely phenomenal, everything from being picked up from our resort to the trip to the dock the boat ride the interaction with our captain the food and the return trip. This was amazing… We had a nice gentleman pick us up he shot us out to old Town where we were met by another gentleman who hand escorted us down to our long tail boat where we met the captain it was a nice gentleman and his son who ran the boat it was just us because we booked a private tour, they had an amazing sense of humor and a playful attitude never once did we feel that our lives were in jeopardy or anything would go wrong this is what these people do on a daily basis it took about an hour from the pier to get to the first island where we were encouraged to hop into the water and send through a cave our guide was our captain’s son it was just phenomenal… After snorkeling around one of our islands we boarded back our boat where our captain shot us out to another island that we hopped in the water did some more snorkeling he pointed out some fish told us a little bit about the culture and how the islands were created, then he brought us to a beach where they provided us with a homemade meal that was absolutely delicious better than anything that we’ve eaten yet and it was just really pleasant to sit down with these two other individuals and talk and listen their English was slightly broken however we did understand what we were talking about… After lunch we were allowed to walk around the island at our leisure we returned back and our captain went ahead and brought us out to another remote island where he encouraged us hop back in the water with our snorkeling gear and we swam through more caves and saw jellyfish among other sea life. Our ride back was almost somber we didn’t want to leave it was not as long as a ride out because we were departing from one of the closer islands however it was just serene it was pleasant…. We recommend this to anybody it doesn’t matter what language you speak but take a private boat tour enjoy local food enjoy the company and companionship of a father’s son boat and have a good time you won’t regret it no matter what the cost is you won’t regret it
It was a wonderful day in Koh Rok. My girlfriend and I had really nice experience with you. The boat driver and his son were really nice people who explain us a lot of interesting things while snorkeling. We had a chance to see a Familly of wale during the boat trip to Koh Rok. I really recommande there private trip.
My family and I had a fantastic day with this small family company. We had originally tried to book with another company but they were fully booked and so recommended that we got in touch with Sabai Lanta. I emailed them the evening before we wanted to go asking for availability. They responded instantly and answered all my questions. We added on Koh kradan to our tour which included Koh Ngai and Koh Mook, with snorkelling in various spots. The whole day was fantastic. We were picked up from our hotel at 8am and driven to Koh Lanta Old Town pier where we were met and paid our remaining balance (they required a PayPal deposit). We got onboard our private long tail boat and headed for our first island stop for snorkelling. They provide snorkel masks and flippers. The crew although they didn’t speak much english (we are in Thailand after all we shouldn’t expect English speaking!!) were friendly and smiley. They let you stay as long as you want and you simply hop back on board once you are ready to move on.We then went to a lovely quiet beach on Koh Ngai and were given pineapple snacks en-route which they cut freshly onboard for you! Once we were ready we hopped back on board and headed to Koh Kradan for a picnic lunch on the beach which the crew set up beautifully. We tucked in to a lovely vegetarian lunch (as requested) and spent some time on the beach. When we were ready we headed back onto our boat and headed out. We headed to the Emerald cave after lunch on Koh Mook. This was the prime example as why paying slightly more for a private boat is worth it. We got in the water and was led through the cave. I suffer from claustrophobia and was fine swimming in the cave the top is quite high above the water. We got their and there was quite a few people inside. But they were all on one boat and once they left there was only about 6 people and so got some lovely photos. We headed back to the boat and onwards for our final snorkel spot. Whilst en-route back to Koh Lanta we were given fresh coconuts and a straw to drink! Once drank, they cut the coconut up for us to eat! Absolutely fantastic!!! The whole day cost us £25 more per person for a private long tail boat. It was well and truly worth it and I would 100% recommend this family business. Fantastic day and fantastic crew.
What an amazing day we had. Best excursion we experiences in Thailand. My husband and myself enjoyed the boat ride, lunch, snorkelling and the cave. Everything ran very smoothly and the booking was easy too.
Two wonderful day trips on a private long tail boat to Koh Rok and Koh Mook. Booking was easy, everything ran like clockwork and the team at Sabai Lanta were super friendly. Fully recommend booking with them.
We had a private longtail trip to Ko Phi Phi from Ko Lanta. Everything went very smoothly and we had a great day with our captain (father) and guide (son). The food was very good, made by the mother of the family. They came to pick up us directly from the beach in front of our hotel. And we saw some black tip reef sharks during the snorkeling. We can recommend this family company with no doubts.
A huge thank you for this incredible excursion to Koh Rok! Despite the capricious weather, we had an unforgettable time, largely thanks to the exceptional welcome of the team.Throughout the day, our guests were very attentive, making the experience even more special. Their kindness and professionalism really touched us. We highly recommend!
We have booked a private long tail day by email to go to Koh Rok from Lanta. Super responsive by email, they pick us up by boat on the beach of our hotel 😅. They are 2 with us: the pilot (and what a pilot seeing the waves on the return 😂) and the guide who will snorkel with us + later. Superb day, we avoided all the fast boats, they set us up the super good lunch in front of the island full of people, we take our time, we do 2 sessions of snorkeling… in short it was worth it, the water is the color of a pool and very beautiful seabed without even needing to dive. Top 🤩
