  1. It’s label as an butterfly farm which is more like a farm full of wild cage animals with a few butterflies in an cage full of plants etc! The people were lovely but the place was dirty the animals were all caged up and I felt so guilty knowing I went in there. At first you couldn’t see what you was walking into if I knew this I would have not gone in! People say they saved them as the animals were injured or abused from someone else well there is still no need to carry on keeping them in cages for entertainment!! I highly recommended people not to visit this and fund them with money. If you don’t enjoy seeing animals cage up then don’t visit this!

  2. Chained monkeys, cats in cages, solitary caged otter ……. desperate conditions for the animals and birds unfortunate enough to be in captivity here. The few butterflies in evidence were shown at the end of the of the guided tour with some misplaced drama ………. there were very few in the tiny enclosure and we were glad to escape the premises. Save yourself 200 baht each and just stick pins in your eyes……..I wish I had read the reviews in advance of our chance encounter with this appalling cowboy set-up.

  3. Went to this place without realising what was behind… this is nothing else than animal cruaulty! Fish in a jar, poor animal in cages, monkey chained to a tree etc…

  4. It’s been years since I visited this place. And again found it nice and pleasant and surprisingly the owner came to us and asked if we had visited some years before , they even had the right year. Sadly people are confusing this business with another that has a similar name about 3kms away. There are NO ANIMALS at this business. It’s a shame trip advisor allows clearly incorrect reviews.

  5. I thought this would be full of beautiful butterflies so we stopped by mistake. It’s more of a small holding with caged animals although the host is very friendly. There are monkeys on chains, a caged otter, fish in a very muddy pond plus a few birds here and there, plus some pineapples bushes and nice flowers. It’s 200 BHT each so in reality an expensive mistake, I wouldn’t recommend you stop.

  6. Leaned a lot about all plants and animals they have there. The animals may be in small cages but are taken care off. Most of the animals are rescued.

  7. Nice place. U can see many animals, fruits in wild nature. Tour guide is very talkative, helpful and interesting.

  8. Not even worth one star, animals are in dirty cages, and two monkeys was chained to a tree, Worst place i have ever been to.Please do not support this!!!

  9. Fantastic farm on the side of the road definitely worth a visit! Many plants and animals other than butterflies: utters, cows, birds, fish, turtles, monkeys, eagles, ducks, cats, dogs etc. The owner loves animals and treats them wonderfully. Reviews claiming animal abuse are wrong, the farm is the opposite of animal abuse! They rescue hurt/abandoned animals and release them back in the wild when the animals can survive on their own. If you visit the farm you will immediately understand that the farm and the animals living there are the owner’s passions. He spends all his time and money on helping the animals, and is the furthest from an animal abuser I have ever met. The farm is truly worth a visit. If you are concerned about animal abuse I recommend listening carefully to the owner during the guided tour. He is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Before judging what you see (dirt, cages etc.) try to understand the reasons behind it.Thank you for an incredible and interesting visit, we learned a lot about the animals and plants of Koh Lanta. It is always lovely to meet people passionate about helping to make the world a better place!

  10. You could tell that the family really loved the animals, the monkeys and otter lost their mothers in scooter accidents and the family looks after them. It is initially sad to see them in the cage but he lets them out and takes them swimming and fishing. The otter and dog were playing together and the otter walked with us around the farm. They don’t even eat the buffalo as they want to take care of them. He was chatty and I formative on the flora and fauna. We really enjoyed the visit and how sweet the family were with the animals.
