  1. Came here to see how elephants are treated Zero rating … whenever there are bad reviews the management of this elephant camp denies the TRUE REVIEW , tourists document what they see and experience . So don’t say it’s a” FALSE review” . Pathetic liars.!! Reporting this to PETA . Elephants are gentle giants that doesn’t deserve maltreatment . They should be free to roam. To all tourists… please search and support Elephant Sanctuaries that you can enjoy sans hurting them. Do diligent search please.

  2. The guides at into the wild camp were amazing! We had the best time viewing the elephants in their natural habitat- they are clearly happy and well cared for, and our guides were sure to let the elephants decide where they wanted to roam. The best part was bathing them in the natural river, what an amazing experience! Thank you ??

  3. This was an amazing day, I absolutely recommend it. The elephants are so well cared for and live in a natural environment with the forest and river where they can roam freely. Detch our guide was bought up in the forest and was so knowledgeable and passionate about the environment and it’s care, he really made the day. Very well organised, and lovely lunch. Absolutely a top ethical experience… one of the best ever

  4. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone seeking an ethical and fun trip to see elephants in the Chiang Mai aren. Our guide Detch picked us up from our hotel and was amazing from start to finish. Before entering the camp he told us alot about his knowledge of the area and the elephants. It was clear he had a wealth of knowledge about the jungle, the wildlife and everything surrounding it. On top of this he was very passionate and entertaining which made the whole trip so much better. We had the chance to walk with the elephants, swim and bathe with them. The food provided by the camp was delicious and the entire camp was obviously very well cared for. Couldn’t recommend this camp more. Five stars.

  5. Pai was extremely knowledgeable and it is very evident that he cares incredibly about the elephants. Amazing morning hiking along side the animals and bathing them, good shower services and lunch was amazing. Also the 6 dogs on the camp are adorable. Quick pick up and a smooth trip out to camp and back

  6. We had the most incredible day here! Dej, our guide, was so knowledgeable about both the elephants and the natural world, educating us all day. The lunch was delicious and the elephants are well treated and cared for. If you in the area and looking for an elephant sanctuary, I really couldn’t recommend this one more.

  7. This was my first time visiting elephants and an experience of a lifetime! From the moment we arrived at the camp our guide Pai had an amazing sense of humour and such a knowledge and love for the elephants. You can tell they’re really taken care of and this is something the camp is really passionate about. We had an eye opening talk at the beginning explaining the history behind the elephants followed by feeding and a hike through the jungle. After this we went back to bathe with the elephants and got some photos ? A day to remember and thank you to into the wild for making it possible!

  8. This was an amazing experience, feeding, walking and bathing with the elephants. The guide was very informative about the sanctuary and the animals. There was a good balance of interaction with the elephants mostly from afar. They appeared happy in their surroundings which was great to see.Lunch provided was excellent!! Highly recommend this sanctuary if you’re looking to visit a sanctuary.

  9. As other reviewers have said, this experience is sure to be a Thailand highlight. A 90 minute drive from our pickup in central Chiang Mai and we were really seeing natural Thailand. Lush countryside before we reached the jungle camp of ‘Into The Wild’. A flowing shallow stream beside some huts and there were our hosts. Five very content elephants, welcoming us as we arrived. You walk along a little bridge and assemble at the hut. Our leader spoke for about 20 minutes about elephant welfare and the importance of keeping an open mind. This was followed by a walk into the jungle on a track of sorts. All the elephants followed or led our group at a leisurely pace. Even the baby elephant which is actually not much of a baby as she is 10 years old! It was lovely to see them calmly walking along a track about 2 feet wide up a hill and on a slope. You can’t imagine it was possible for them but it’s what they do in the real wild. Occasionally one would rip a branch off a tree and peel the bark off to have a munch! On our return to camp we got ‘water ready’ and had a bath with the elephants. Plenty of mud and water in the 30 degree heat went down well with us all. Particularly the elephants. This is a memorable experience and I can’t recommend it enough.
