For my first intro to BJJ, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Bryan was super knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. I highly recommend coming here! The place is clean, the staff professional, and classes are perfect in size.
Very well run and clean dojo run by an excellent instructor called Bryan. His explanation of techniques is second to none. I would recommend this club to anyone wanting to get some training in whist on holiday at this city.
I dropped in for an evening nogi class at this small club a short walk from my hotel. The guys (and lone female) were very friendly and welcoming. I paid a small drop in fee and I was directed upstairs, where a youth class was just wrapping up. The mat space was a bit small, but the padding wrapped up on the walls, and there was only nine of us, so there was plenty of room. The warm-up was fast moving with clear directions from John. He led us through about four techniques for guard retention, with some timed drills to reinforce. The half hour of rolling at the end was fun and friendly. I recommend checking this place out.
I trained here for three months while I was visiting SEA and I feel like my jiu jitsu improved big time. Along with that I had some of the best laughs and made some life long friends. This is a great gym for newcomers to the sport due to the friendly and patient atmosphere but also for higher ranked belts looking to refine their game. Bryan the head coach is thoughtful of every aspect concerning all of his students on the mat during training. Just go and you won’t regret it. I can’t wait to return myself. Oss.
