  1. We had a great time visiting The Elephant Sanctuary in Krabi. It was definitely a great experience to interact with these wonderful creatures up close and personally. It was amazing to see how each of the three elephants had their own personalities and the staff was very personable and friendly as well. Shy and the rest of the staff were very informative and definitely made sure that everyone had a good time. You could also tell how well they knew each animal personally and the care that they put into the place and the elephants in their care. Would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone and specifically would reccomend this place and the staff that made our experience all the more memorable.

  2. Great experience! It really felt like they valued the animals well being over anything. The guide was also amazing and the elephant keepers were charming.

  3. The Best experience of our lives!!Amazing story! You get to walk with them, wash them, feed them, talk with them.I will never forget this experience, for everything they do for these poor abused elephants, can never thank you enough Bang Bang!!Highly recommend and support his plight! Amazing job!!!

  4. A top notch experience. No fences, no ties. The elephants are free to wander and make their own choices. We felt privileged to have such a positive wildlife encounter and see how well these poor creatures, previously tortured and enslaved, were being cared for. Definitely recommend. Staff went over and above on all counts, least of which was a beautiful fruit and baking treats meal for us.

  5. 5/5 experience. My partner and I visited The Elephant Sanctuary and had the most wonderful time. Our guide Bang and the three other guests were told how the sanctuary came about, the support they receive and in return give back to the community, and their purpose. It was clear how value-driven and ethical Bang and his team are, and that they truly care for the animals. The three elephants wandered free, bathed as they liked and ate (via us!) as they pleased. We really enjoyed all elements, and it was such fun to help the elephants get all muddy and bathe on their own accord. We enjoyed hearing about how much better the elephants have been doing under the sanctuary’s care and seeing that they are in such good hands. There are a lot of so called “elephant sanctuaries” where there are ulterior motives – this is not one of them. We are so glad we visited The Elephant Sanctuary, thank you Bang and your team for a wonderful morning and keep doing the wholesome work you do.

  6. Exceptional elephant sanctuary. The staff clearly love and care for the elephants, they seem very happy. Very ethical no riding, no coercion, not even any fences. Bathing, mud bathing and feeding of the elephants. Tea coffee snacks and fruits and transportation provided as part of the price. Very very good experience

  7. This was a highlight of our vacation. The sanctuary provides a wonderful home for these abused elephants and visitors have the opportunity to get up close and personal with them in every aspect of their care. Very educational and fun.

  8. Wonderful experience—very fun, moving and informative. Bang was a terrific guide and a great advocate for saving elephants. Yes, you really do feed and scrub elephants and help make their food.

  9. There would appear to be a number of elephant shelters/sanctuaries attracting different reviews. Our experience of this one was amazing ! The elephants are well looked after. No chains no riding and well fed.It was a real privilege to get so close to these wonderful animals and spend time bathing and feeding them. Our guide Ami was very friendly and knowledgeable and wanted to make it a special time for you as well as making sure we knew the boundaries when getting close to the elephants .Would highly recommend a visit .

  10. Wow what an experience. This is a must. Very ethical and you can tell how much Bang loves these elephants. He lives on the site away from his wife and children most of the time to make sure they are looked after. These are rescued elephants and not for riding. They have led unfortunate lives until they were rescued. Bang’s story of he he got involved is so inspiring and brings a tear to the eye.The day itself is fantastic, we were picked up promptly from our hotel and taken to the sanctuary where Bang gave his talk on the elephants and the sanctuary. We were the taken by a pick up truck to the jungle where we waited for Nom Nom and Boo Boo to appear which they promptly did. We fed them bananas and stroked these magnificent creatures, walking back with them towards the sanctuary. The elephants weren’t rushed or pushed into anything, when they decided to move they moved. The walked through a stream and showered themselves on the way. On to the sanctuary where we prepared food and dietary suppliments for them before feeding them these. Then it was shower time before entering the mud hole and covering them in mud. They seemed to really enjoy this and tbh so did we. we then walked with them to the pond to wash the mud off. Here you are given a bowl and scrubbing brush to scrub their skin to get rid of the insects etc on them. We were then fed a fantastic meal before feeding the coconuts to Boo Boo and Nom Nom and saying goodbye. Throughout the day a photographer is taking photographs and these are then emailed to you that evening and there is no charge for this its all included. All in all one of the best, if not the best experience we have ever had.
