Fantastic experience! I wanted to do some exercise while exploring the country side, and this was just perfect. Woody was the perfect guide, patient and energetic. We did 5 hours with stops, mostly off roads, stopping by to get some explanations. Some nice farmers where collecting pineapples and they gave us for free (I had to insist to accept a tip). Also we had a quick stop at a coffee place of a painter, super nice people. At the end, I asked Woody to do extra fast, and we did extra 9km full speed. Total 37 Km, super fun, totally worth it. Next time is will book it again and try to do 60 Km all day!! 😉
We really enjoyed our half day bike trip! We took a boat over to Koh Klang and then biked our way across the island. It was very interesting to meet people from the community and see an area where very few tourists go. The bikes are in really good condition, Wood (sorry if I spelled it wrong) provides helmets, snacks and water. Wood was a really great tour guide, he clearly loves what he does and he is so knowledgeable about the island and it’s community. The ride itself is really flat, and we made a lot of stops. My husband and myself are not serious bikers (probably haven’t been on a bike in over a year) but we were able to keep up. It was hot so definitely bring lots of sunscreen.
We booked a half-day tour to the Huay Tho Waterful with Krabi Eco Cycle and could not have been happier with our choice. We were picked up right on time at our hotel, and driven inland past some of the dramatic limestone mountains in the area. We ended up on a quiet paved road, and spent about 45 minutes pedaling through rural villages and farmland. The road turned into gravel, and the next 45 minutes or so was in a dense palm oil plantation where our leader showed us the life cycle of this important commercial crop. Finally we were back on the road, climbing slowly to the National Park where the Falls are located. The falls are easily accessible with a nice hike, and you can swim in them under most conditions. We cooled off, although the pools were a little shallow in early March. Nice, though. Our driver and bike leader were very kind and well-informed. The driver follows you on this trek so that if you have a mechanical problem or just get tired out, he can pick you up. Ours was a one-way trip of approximately 24km or 15mi, which was just enough for us. Gentle hills, but more up than down. Highly recommended.
What a unique experience. Most of the day trips are boat trips, so if you are looking for something active to do in Krabi/Ao Nang and you are not much of a climber, this is for you. Wut was a fantastic guide- so kind and informative, and he will show you some of the real Krabi province behind the touristic veneer.
Wut (Wood?!) is a friendly and informative guide. The bikes are in excellent condition, and the whole tour is very safe. Gorgeous scenery away from the crowds of Ao Nang.
We enjoyed a great day’s biking with Wud. He was knowledgeable and interesting so we meant all about the area. Good range of biking on and off road. Highly recommend.
Wut is a great guide, he knows alot about the island and the culture. You visit some local shops on the trip, which is a good way to support the locals and stock up on gift for the family back home.A really Nice experience for the whole family.
The guide was knowledgable and the route cycled was challenging but fun. We completed the 56km one, which included offroad and road cycling. Views were amazing and the swim in the lake was great!
4 of us did the half day cycle tour, taking in amazing bush tracks to quiet roads through small villages and farmland, having stops along the way, our guide explained about all the farming techniques of the rubber, palm oil and pineapple plantations. Along with stopping at a crystal clear swimming/kayaking creek. (Worth a swim.)Then onto a beautiful little village where we had a refreshing homemade lemon/honey drink and checked out some art work and pottery. 27km trip 5 Stars we will be backThank you Wutt ??
