What a fabulous place to paddle! It’s so peaceful, unspoilt and stunning! Kayak rental is B300 for as long as you want. A guide costs an extra B100 and will do all the paddling if you don’t know how.You start by paddling through a sunken forest, then follow the river through into a dense forest. This leads to a fresh, spring-fed blue swimming hole, with small striped fish.Plan to set aside a half day to fully enjoy this.
Located at the edge of the sea, the Jabi district is a shallow water canal amidst a puru jungle, a mangrove forest filled with large trees, with water limits built by locals to capture water in front of the lawn. I just learnt that there is tourist spot! Rent a kayak and go. I enjoyed hanging on the kayak, peaceful canal with a view of mountains.
