I booked a sunset kayak with BBQ dinner with this company and also a horse riding experience along the beach.Sunset Kayak:Great experience and good company with helpful staff – I didn’t enjoy kayaking though as much as I thought I would, I was alone and my arms got very tired so I couldn’t keep up. The guide did help though. The scenery was beautiful and the experience would be amazing for somebody who actually likes kayaking.Horse Riding:Terrible experience. I arrived at the ranch and the staff were friendly. They didn’t have any chaps that were big enough for me to protect my legs but I wasn’t so concerned about this. I then got on the horse and as I don’t have any experience I was being led by a man. Well to begin with the horse wouldn’t allow the man anywhere near him, appearing quite aggressive. The man managed to get the rope and we headed for the beach. The horse was very aggressive towards the man, trying to bite him and kicking his hooves. The man was quite clearly terrified. I was also extremely scared, thinking I was going to be thrown off into the rocky sea. The horse didn’t seem to care about me or even the other handlers once back at the ranch but there was something the horse quite clearly didn’t like about the man. It put me off horse riding that’s for sure.
We booked White Water Rafting and ATV through this person called Mem, this was okay.First, the driver was late by 20mins and when he showed up, the first damn thing he asked me to is ” You pay money now”. Can you seriously believe this? (It is true we need to pay the balance of the tour but you can ask nicely and don’t assume we won’t pay)The nightmare happen when the unpleasant and rude driver interrupted my 1-hour ATV ride and I only have 30mins of play time, the reason is because it is “my time” to go for lunch now and blame me for being late during white water raft. (Please note the during the white water raft, all the agents/client will just gather somewhere and take turns to tour the water raft because of they opened up the water dam).At the end of the day, I would recommend you to book with another agent because of their outsourcing team and driver downright nasty and not professional at all. It is okay to pay extra $5 to another operator that can offer you customer satisfaction without ruining your holiday.Khun Da who is the coordination for driver pick up did not response to my Whatapps complains, choosing to ignore me and this is what they would do to you as well.This company will just take your money and get it done and over with you be it you like it or not. AVOID!
The tour guide Mad (pronounce as Mat) was very professional, caring and have good knowledge about the area. He was very patient no rushing as we paddle quite slow and had a 10 year old kid with us. The experience was fantastic along the way whereby MAD give details introduction the history about the area as well as pointed us what are the attractions to look out for along the lime stone island. We even stop by to look at some traps that local fishermen set to catch crab. Strongly recommend MAD as your next tour guide when you visit Krabi.
This was a throughly wonderful experience not to be miss, our guide was informative and welcoming and the elephants marvelous. on arrival we made food for them, then went on and gave them a scrub and wash in the river and feeding them. Back to base to be met with a cold drink and pineapple. a trip to remember for ever.
Such poor communication and customer service. I confirmed my booking the day before pick up over email and asked how I pay for the tour. They ignored my email. I thought I would just be paying cash when they came to pick me up. Still I wanted confirmation so emailed again asking them to confirm and that I would see them in the morning. Still nothing. That next morning… no pick up. When I called to see where they were, the really unhelpful woman said I hadn’t paid my deposit via PayPal invoice that she had supposedly sent (I hadn’t received anything) and therefore was not picking us up. I asked her why she didn’t reply telling me that I needed to pay when I had emailed twice to confirm. She said she ignored those emails because I hadn’t paid and I should have told her that I hadn’t received the invoice. . . How can I tell someone I haven’t received something if I don’t know it’s coming! Idiotic!She completely wasted our day as it’s now too late to book something else.Cheers Krabitrek.
Ao Thalene was beautiful with a beautiful mangrove forest. Guide was patient and did not rush us through any of the journey. Loved every part of this! However, make sure to book your tour on a high tide hour otherwise you may not be able to enter certain parts of the Mangrove forest. Also, monkeys could come on your boat but not harmful in any way. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
DON’T CHOOSE THEM. we bought tickets for Phi Phi island a month ago, they had to take from Railay beach. it was even written in our voucher. two days before the tour they said they wouldn’t take us from there and we had to get a boat taxi to Ao nammao or Ao nang pier by ourselves. or to cancel the tour of course. this is not a big deal for you. someone cancels another will come. but for us, people coming from another continent canceling is not an option. We planned this vacation with months.we have only this day going to Phi Phi island. So we agreed to take a boat taxi to Ao nang. but no one explained to us that so early in the morning there is no people waiting for these boats and no-one wanted to take us for regular thickets , except paying 8 thickets to get to Ao nang .. this is 800thb for one direction..We called for help and one unfriendly woman told us it was not their responsibility. not true, yours is, after we bought tickets with the optin for taking us from our beach. You lied that no company operates the Railay beach. Lots of them came to Railay beach to take their clients while we prayed somone to take us on the beach .you don’t even care to make your costumers happy. you just want to take their money. .So here we us, left alone on the pier, missing our tour, loosing our money, so if you don’t want to feel like us.. DON’T CHOOSE THEM
If there was negative point to give,I would select it. Theis company made my vocation for a small period of time horrible . My wife and I booked them for a tour to PhiPhi. They had to take us from Railay beach on Krabi, but two days before the tour they told us that it is not possible to take us from there and we need to go to another place (to get a new boat, to pay 800 bat, because in the morning at 8 a’clock on the Railay was only us and we need to take a private boat for 800 bat). We called them and unbelievable unfriendly woman started telling us to take a boat and not to miss the trip because they will not return our money, but also will not pay for this boat(800 bat). On the end they took our money, they left us and we did not go to Phi Phi. Again do not choose them.
Da was very helpful in finding my family a big game fishing tour. Krabi Star One Fishing , captain and mate were super hospitable. The boat was very clean, pristine equipment. Not much English, but enough to understand. They were very helpful and patient with our children (9&11) Thank you for a great experience. We didn’t catch any big game, but lost a sailfish.
This is our second fishing charter booked through KrabiTrek. The operator is Star One Fishing Tour – same as the one we had in 2019. The boat is sufficiently large for 4 people (up to 6 pax comfortably) and quite steady for a windy day. Boat is very clean and well-maintained. The captain is quite careful to choose a good spot and we spent 2 hours getting to the first spot. The fishing went off with a slow start. Partly due to the windy conditions in the morning. Lines were dragged out quite far but we still managed to get a few fish. After lunch was haul time! Blessed that the captain found a good spot and we hauled up more than 20 red fish via bottom fishing and caught 1 huge barracuda via trawling. Overall, the captain was accommodating and the crew very helpful, always helping us to hook the bait and unhooking our catch into the ice box. Cold water provided all day and lunch was good – sweet sour vegetables and chicken and fried garlic chicken with rice. Bait and rods and reels are provided so no need to carry your own. However some of the rods were heavy and reels were a bit worn. Overall we had a wonderful day out and the staff were friendly and helpful!
