Uhm… this is a white wat, with beautiful decoration. I visit it while Songkran. It have a red, gold, white decoration. It is worth to visit for a stranger like me. Although it is not so big but it’s different compare to other wat in Chiang Mai.
One of the many beautifull temples near our guest house well worth visiting.Lovely serpeant lined steps to enter the temple then you are taken back with the majesty of the red and gold interior colouring, the massive timber structure is lacquered in lovely red with gold decoration.A lovely gold Buddha dominates the alter area with smaller gold Buddhas nearby, all very regal looking. Go and enjoy.
Situated on the south side of the moat behind the market this is a fine wat with white, square shaped chedi and richly decorated main hall. The grounds are beautifully maintained with mature trees and flowers everywhere giving it a serene aspect.
Another lovely Wat with a white chedi. I arrived early in the morning & was greeted by amazing chanting.
it is situated with a compound with alot of trees and it is calm and serene. the intricate design is worth the visit. a few temples within the compound.
Quite, visited by locals, close to the other little temples that are considered Chiang Mai’s little gems. It is located in the same street of Wat Chedi Luang, closer to the Chian Mai gate (Chaing Mai walls).
We saw a million temples during our time. Chiang Mai seems to have more than most cities. We wandered around the grounds a bit, but didn’t pay to go inside the temple itself.
This temple is located near the Chiang Mai Gate market. It receive a regular number of worshipers. The temple has a viharn, chedi, ho trai and ho rakang. It has no ubosot. The elephant theme can be seen all over. There is an old Bodhi tree with a large wooden spirit house.
This is a small but attractive temple located near the gates of the Old City. Although it lacks the pizzazz of some other shrines in the city, it is still well worth the visit. The white sculpted figures on the grounds are quite lovely.
