10 thoughts on “Bang Bao Beach

  1. White sandy and soft sand beach. Quiet and white clear crystal water in the high season. Budget Bungalow is all around.

  2. We visited Ko Kut (aka Ko Kood) for some off the beach snorkelling, Bang Bao Bay was recommended in the reviews we read. However, on arriving (after 8hrs of uncomfortable travel from Pattaya via minibus, pick up truck, ferry and pick up truck) we were met with a red flag and no swimming signs, due to rip tides. Also, being low season, snorkeling tours are limited, if running at all. It’s a picturesque bay, but unless you are happy jumping around in the waves at high tide and doing very little else, you will be very bored. We stayed 1 night at Siam beach resort, which was acceptable for the price and view, but there is only one restaurant (nice Thai food, but small portions) and one bar within walking distance. You can hire scooters from the resort for 300 THB per day.

  3. I felt like I was swimming in the paradise of the Blue Lagoon. Crystal clear water white sandy beach that felt like baby powder on your feet. Backed by coconut trees that gave you shade to sit and relax. In my opinion the best beach on the island

  4. Clear water, golden sand, these are the good parts. It’s definitely not the best beach on the island. It is the starting point for the diving trips, therefore there are too many boats, but don’t imagine too many. Also it can get a bit crowded by Ko Kut standards, which still means not too many people.

  5. All the beaches on Koh Kood are great, but this one was our personal top.Firstly, it has a number of these iconic wooden piers that make it a classic “postcard” view.Secondly, sand is very white and tender, almost a powder. Really comfy to run on.Thirdly, the beach line in the bay is quite long, usually Koh Kood beaches are tinier. And of course, there’s lots of natural shadows created by coconut palms.I won’t even mention crustal clear waters because it’s something every Koh Kood beach would have :)Add it to the bucket list if you go to Koh Kood!

  6. The water is crystal clear, the beach as such is nice but the piers stretching out in the bay is a real eyesore – especially those that haven’t been maintained. Better and more tranquil beaches can be found.

  7. Unfortunately the beach and the water was not so nice at our first day due to crap t the sea.The beach is also not very big. All in all not a highlight.

  8. We took s boat to do snorkeling at Bang Bao Beach. The water is clear and calm. The sand is white. The beach is quiet. The side hills protect the beach from wind. Good for swimming and kids.

  9. Simply safe into the water and swim along the shoreline to find a beautiful coral reef and you will be in heaven! This unsoiled beach and bay is a must visit for anyone interested in the sea, nature and being in a pristine environment. It’s simply wonderful!!!

  10. One of the best beaches we visited in Koh Kood. Beautiful white sand, crystal clear sea which was very shallow for a good distance. A handful of hotels so there were a few restaurants and bars plus some let you use their sun loungers too. Could hire canoes, paddle boards etc. Also busy trips from the piers. The snorkeling here was fantastic. It was never crowded here and we returned several times.
