Pure Grappling Jiu Jitsu Collective is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 1/17 Old Airport Road Store 9, Suthep, 50200, Thailand
I moved from Barcelona to Chiang Mai a couple of months ago. I found in Pure Grappling the perfect place to continue my BJJ training. Friendly environment, brand new facilities, excellent instruction and right located at the south of the trendy Nimman area. If you are planning some days in the city I really encourage you to visit this academy and get to know real dedicated martial artist.
Pure Grappling Jiu Jitsu Collective is a great place to train. The facilities are by far the best in Chiang Mai and the place has had a brand new renovation from top to bottom. Everything from the instruction and other members to the nice cafe’s and bars near by are perfect. The location is great too just off Nimmanhaemin road makes it really accessible.
Great vibe at this place – perfect balance between relaxed and serious about improving skills. It’s very conveniently located near Nimman and the instructors are super capable (and patient with beginners). Very spacious training facilities too. Enjoyed my training here immensely!
I ended up showing 1/2 hour late because Tuk Tuk driver could not find it and we got tied up in traffic.On arrival, I found out the regular gi class was cancelled, and there was a Claudia Doval seminar. I joined in and learned some great spider guard details. Mark, the owner, was kind enough to work with me and catch me up on some of the concepts I had missed. The upstairs area was hot for this gi wearing Canadian boy, but the facilities were clean and classy. I had some dynamic rolling when the seminar wrapped up. There was a black belt there who used some wizardry to sweep me and put me in constant danger. I was invited for drinks after with the crew, but had to decline, as my wife had already been there for an hour and a half. They were a very friendly group of people. Go there and see!
Such a welcoming friendly gym. The teacher Ryan is very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher . I spent a month training here and felt that I improved a great deal .
