Love the tight and tough championship layout. Test your golf abilities by plaiong the Black Tiger tees. Choose your clubs wisely as you cant pull driver every par 4. Listen to your caddie. Bring your camera for some great photos of course and selfies too. The staff are great and very friendly and helpful. Dont forget to check out the driving range facility cheap practice balls and also if you are hungry great food and service provided. Cost for golf is not too bad and maybe worth checking out golf packages with on course accomodation.
North Hill has a great driving range and practice greens. The staff at the range is great too. The clubhouse is also nice. However, the design of the course is really poor. There is water everywhere and it’s truly a ‘target golf’ course. Irons or a fairway wood off the tee on most every hole. Wait staff at the restaurant are slow and inattentive.
This course is about 20mins from the city. It’s gets very crowded because it’s decently price and near the city. Furthermore, the course allows walking or buggy play and therefore may further slow play.Flat course with little trees but lots of water comes into play. Maybe challenging for beginner golfer because the approach to greens are surrounded by water hazards. Even from black tee not a tough course (not a long course) and if you are not a wild hitter. Stay on the fairway and manage your game accordingly. Lots of water before the green calls for course management vs attacking the greens.Hard and super fast greens, your ball will roll off the green upon approach. Caddie are beginners with little or no English spoken and not sure of their roles. The restaurant serves great variety of food, one of the best Golf dining place.
I took relief from my wife for having a round of golf in this golf course which was situated within 30 minutes drive from Chiang Mai city. It was a new course of only six years history. Water hazards was its special features. Fairway was narrow and ob plus water hazards on either side. Greens are normally small in size yet you have yo make precise shot. The speed of the green was pretty fast, putting requied great effort. For member or member’s guest, you can get a concession rate and allowed to walk. Walk in guest had to hire the boggy. Caddies are nice. Hareware are very good. Restaurant serving good food. I enjoyed playing here and it was a challenging course.
My first time playing here. The course was better than my expectation. Some holes are narrow. Generally, you need to manage your shots to play here. Lost many balls here. The par 3s looks easy but not that easy to reach. The maintenance was overall good. Greens are generally good with a few holes inconsistent speed. The groundskeeper on that day cut a couple of holes on the slope to add to the challenge of playing there. I enjoyed it and return the next day and played much better having known the layout. It’s a course I’ll return in the near future. The downside is that the caddie that I’ve gotten both days (despite different ones) are way below par. Hope they can improve on that.
Wonderful staff and caddies exceeded our expectations of a golf club. Great greens and relaxing course to indulge in. Score a nice round of 88, for me thats great 😛
a big thank you to all at North Hill for making our stay in Chiang Mai so enjoyable. The Staff welcomed us with a friendly smile and made us at home as soon as we arrived. The hotel is really nice, the pool area is great, we had great fun playing with our grandson and relaxing in the afternoons. Breakfast was very good, a la Carte, we simply could not ask for more. The golf course is really good, with a fair amount of water it’s a great challenge. The caddies were excellent and kept us on track during our many rounds. The clubhouse is spacious and elegant, facilities are of a high standard. There is also a really good restaurant in the clubhouse, we dined there on several occasions and were not disappointed. I would recommend North Hill to families and golfers visiting Chiang Mai.
A unique golf course with many challenges. This is a must for anyone travelling to Chiangmai. Many greens guarded by water. The clubhouse is superb and a 5 star restaurant to enjoy after golf.
This course has possibilities to be good. The clubhouse looks great from the outside but doesn’t carry through the entire facility. The course is good but no where the quality of 4 or 5 other Chiang Mai courses. It is however better than any Gassan course in the area.
The course was difficult for short hitters as there were water hazards at most holes. After tee off, we need to lay up as we were not able to carry the water hazards towards the green.Course is well maintained but caddies we had were not experienced.Fortunately, there was an excellent course marshall who guided us to avoid the crowded course.Took us only 3 hours to complete 18 holes which could have stretched to 5 hours if we were to follow the flights ahead.
