I have ordered on line a transportation from Trat airport to Koh Kood pier and back on the return way. We had no problem at all either in term ot timing ( the driver was waiting for us just out of the arrivals) or in term of vehicle (a very confortable Honda minivan). The driver was a very nice and gentle guy and everything went very well. A very well organized company which deserves a very good rating.
Online ordering was easy and the good thing is that you can pay with paypal. The car was on time and the trip went well. board tickets are included in the price and there is drinking water on the bus.
We took the minibus to Koh Chang and it picked us up from our apartment in Bangkok. The booking was very efficient, the drivers arrived on time going and coming back, and we felt very safe. The drivers were excellent. We highly recommend this service even tough it is not cheap.
We booked Bangkok- Hua Hin several weeks ahead to make sure we were picked up at the airport and returned on time. Upon arrival thefe was a sign with our name but no minibus. The driver arrived after 45 minutes, spoke very little english and had no explanation for us. On the return trip we phoned 10 minutes after the agreed pick-up time and the driver informed us he would be 40 minutes late. After 1 hour I was furious and called the call centre, just as the minibus pulled up. They tried to claim they had sent an e-mail the previous day to inform us of 1 hour delay. There was no mail and regardless, that is unacceptable. What if we had had a flight to catch? I refused to pay full ptice and was offered a price reduction of 470 Baht.
Koh Chang Minibus have very early pick up times from Koh Chang meaning that you have a long wait at the open air Trat airport. I tried to get a later time by changing to a private minibus but they refused. In this example flight was 16.25 and pick up time was 12.10. We arrived at Trat airport 13.25. Three hours in a small open airport isn’t ideal. Even if we account for a missed ferry there is simply no point in having this much time in reserve…
Booked and paid on line the day before to get from Trat Airport to Koh Chang. After we picked up our bags and left the secured area, the driver was there with a sign listing all the passengers he was picking up. Some passengers walked right by him and were wandering around lost and he went back and found them after the rest of us were loaded up. Nice minibus, looked new. Got to the ferry and he drove past all the other waiting vehicles and was near the front of the ferry, nice. On Koh Chang, the same lost passengers, gave the driver the wrong name of the hotel they were staying at and then told the driver after that we went by their place so he had to turn back to drop them off, good driver, bad passengers! Got to our place okay, all good. Very nice service and would use them again from the airport.
We’ve used koh chang minibus for 15 years to get from Bangkok to Laem Sok, the pier near trat to get to koh kood.Always on time and reliable and excellent customer service. Today I realized I booked our return taxi from laem Sok to DMK for the wrong date. Within 15 minutes they had located a replacement driver for us for the ~5 hour trip. Unbeatable. You book online with a credit card. Top notch company.
The 35 Group operates a service between Koh Trang and Pattaya as a direct service. But this is a falsehood as the bus diverts to Rayong adding at least 1 hour more to the advertised travel time. The bus driver makes money on the side from locals boarding at Rayong and distributes some of the tourists to other minibuses on the approach to Pattaya. This adds to the delay. The bus driver was totally unconcerned, if not arrogant, he was making me late and stated I was free to complain about it and was quite happy to disembark me to a taxi so that I would not be late. Despite paying extra to be dropped off at the hotel foyer ( I had a injured leg) I was dropped off some distance from the hotel foyer and had to struggle with my bag to to get to the hotel entrance.
Went with 35 Group Pattaya. The bus was 35 mins late at pickup. We had to Call Office twice to ask. The driver didnt seem to Care. Didnt offer anything in Return. One passenger couldnt get aircondition. Driver didnt Seem to care about that too. Bad view from the car. Couldnt look out the window – seat to High up. At drop off the driver wasnt sure What to do with tickets to Boat. My girlfriend had to help him help the other passengers with tickets. The Boat was also late, 50 people standing waiting to go on board when the Boat was there already.
