  1. I have had the opportunity to go to Yoga Republic now for over 2 months. And its been a great experience. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The facility is clean and tidy. And Jack and Pook are top notch instructors. They offer a variety of classes to challenge both beginners and full time yogi’s. The juice bar is also very good.

  2. Loved every minute I spent there inside the class and outside. Great professional studio, facilities and instructors. Thank you Jack for having me as a student and teacher as well. I cannot be more grateful and I started to miss this homey environment this studio offered me already. Love you guys!

  3. Enjoyed a couple of days of classes during my holidays. Jack made me feel welcome even for such a short period, the sessions were all interesting, with explanations and corrections of postures. I went for the holiday package advertised on their website which is definitely worth it. Felt really well and relaxed after all this hot yoga!

  4. I managed to squeeze in a hot yang class at Yoga Republic during my short stay at Surin Beach. It was the best possible way I could have spent my morning in Phuket! The studio is located a 10 min drive from Surin Beach, and it was much easier to get to than expected. My hotel arranged a taxi to drop me off (200 baht), and to return, I caught a tuk tuk from the many waiting outside the Tesco on the other side of the street (150 baht). The studio owner, Jack, and instructor were extremely welcoming and friendly. The studio was spotlessly clean. Most of the students were local expats as tourist season was nearly over. The studio provided free mats, towels, showers, and lockers, and there was even fresh coconuts for purchase at the end of class. I had done hot yoga before, so there were no big surprises for me. The poses and sequences were nearly identical to the ones I’ve done in the US, and I even found the instructor here to be better. I was a little apprehensive about doing a hot yoga session in an already hot and humid island (and I compensated by hydrating a lot before class, as you should), but those concerns flew out the window by the time I was on my mat. I got a much needed (sweaty) workout, surrounded by great people on a beautiful island. After class, the air outside felt so much cooler, and I still had a full afternoon to enjoy the beach. If I were lucky enough to be an expat in Phuket, I would definitely be a regular here. 🙂

  5. We loved this studio. There are 2 main teachers: Pook and Jack. Both are excellent. The hot class was like a somewhat shortened Bikram series 75 minutes rather than 90 –with a few minor variations (rolling up rather than flat black on pada histasana). And then a few inhales with loud exhales at the end rather than kapalabati. The vinyasa fusion was great, too. Similar to other vinyasa classes I’ve had with a few new postures in there. The Sunday night Chill class was a good hip-opening yin class: l felt as well stretched as I have ever been. We were looking for a yoga vacation that was close to HK and we liked the look of this studio the best, having googled first “yoga retreat Thailand” and then given our flight options and where we could find an open room, googled “yoga studios Phuket reviews”. The studio looked clean and attractive, the teachers looked well-trained and good, and the website had a good vibe. The in-person experience matched—or surpassed –our expectations. Every class was a 5/5, the yogis who practice seem like a nice friendly crew (with mixed levels), and the studio was quite nice.

  6. Second time this week and love it. For any man out there that may have the “yeah but it’s just stretches” kinda attitude to yoga, it’s definitely not. I circuit train and run quite regularly, this absolutely ruined me, hot or fusion I sweat like a beast, amazing for body and mind, get involved!!!

  7. We had never tried yoga before and had a private session with Jack to begin with, then tried chill and finally a hot session. We really enjoyed it although found the hot session quite challenging both the heat and the actual poses being total novices. However we were made to feel very welcome and would highly recommend it.

  8. I went to a Thursday morning Fusion Flow class and it was brilliant! Great teacher who led a fun flow with lots of twists. Wish I had the chance to try some other classes. Would highly recommend.

  9. I went to 5 classes at Yoga Republic while in town and had a great time with all of the instructors. They took their time to welcome me (despite only being there for holidays), made sure I was comfortable as a beginner among some yogis, and gave excellent advice to continue my practice. The single classes are a bit expensive (600 baht), but the holiday package is a good rate (2200 baht) so that can be worthwhile if you’re doing for a few days in a row. The standard classes get quite hot due to the climate, so I didn’t test out the hot yoga class, but I imagine it would be challenging if that is what you’re looking for. Highly recommend checking it out.

  10. I reviewed this studio years back and now I’d like to update that to say it’s even better. It’s in new location at Blue Tree. It offers more classes and that includes Sound Healing on Tuesdays, which was nice. It’s always been a great studio to practice Yoga, especially Bikram Hot Yoga. And the owner Jack is just an all-around good dude.
