I loved John’s gallery, I called him Johnny Cash cause that’s all he seems to play in his store every day. You can spend a long time looking thru all of his stuff and the sayings are all so true, makes you stop and think ….
We can’t across this gallery while strolling around Chiang Mai. What a gem it is. There must be thousands of painting crammed into this little shop, all hand made by the man himself. We are lucky enough to spend 10 minutes chatting to John who is a great artist and person. He was so friendly and helpful we were happy to part with or money for some of his pieces.I recommended you visit even if you aren’t looking to buy. The place is quite amazing
Stumbled across this place while holidaying in Chiang Mai. John was extremely friendly, knowledgeable of the area and a very talented artist. I purchased an enormous painting, had it stretched over a frame and put it on my wall. A perfect reminder of a great holiday.
I can highly reccomend this gallery. A lot of amazing pictures and paintings with english sentences. Also with a chance to talk to unique artist John. Must be visited when you are in Chiang Mai!
This hole in the wall cavern like space is heart filing. You hear Johnny cash playing and it draws you in. The acrylic painting on cloth is breath taking. After meeting Johnny and his tour of his space we chose a few to bring back. Now that was not easy. He had just finished a large project of a blooming cherry blossom tree. Oh how I wished I could of brought that home. A self taught artist inspired me to go forth with my own creativity. 🙏

Located on Tha Pae Road (main road) close to the Thapae gate (300 or so meters) this shop has the most amazing look and feel. Quirky art pieces and great sayings written on the artworks. Very cool.
Came across this little place while wandering the streets of Chang Mai. There was art works all trough out the quirky place. Johnny was more than happy t stop and have a chat and show us around. Walked away with some amazing art and a price to put on the wall. Highly recommend wandering in, but be aware if your tall you will have to keep your head down.
TUCKED away at the top of Tha Phae Road not far from the Tha Phae Gate is this little oasis of art.We actually stumbled across it while trying to track down a nearby restaurant and it looked so quirky that we went inside.Walking areas are narrow and twist between stands of painted T-shirts, cards, paintings and colourful cloths.As the banner above John Gallery says, Can’t Get Lost if you Don’t Care where You Are! Just as well really because the inside of the gallery is full of little, niches, nooks and crannies.We found John and chatted to him, eventually walking out with a selection of paintings and a nice card saying: “Leave no tern unstoned!”If you are looking for an unusual gift or painting then John Gallery is the place to go and we would recommend anyone to come here for a bit of browsing in very unusual surroundings.
John has some amazing painted t shirts and paintings in his shop. All handpainted with quotes . check up the website . He is a neat guy.
