  1. Madam thai was a great teacher who has lots of passion for thai food. She took us for a cooking class on short notice which was really nice of her. We were allowed to chose anything we wanted to cook and eat after from her menu. A worthwhile expierence. Not to be missed!!

  2. Madam thai cooking class was very fun! There were three time options, each lasting about 3 hours. For 700 baht, you choose to cook 4 meals of your choice. For 200 baht more, she will teach you how to make authentic thai curry pastes (green, red, panang, masaman). Worth it if you like to cook and want to learn more about local ingredients. I made papaya salad, pad see ew, soup, red curry, mango and sticky rice.I was the only student so it very intimate and fun! Highly recommend especially since I wasn’t looking for an all day class.

  3. Madam is such a sweetheart, so welcoming, knowledgable, and patient. I learned to make spring rolls, pad Thai, tofu soup, and sticky rice, but you can choose the menu items you want to make. I would definitely recommend her if you’re in Chiang Mai and would like a unique experience!

  4. I really enjoyed the cooking school at madams it was great. She is kind, friendly and has a good knowledge of the Thai kitchen :-)I recommend it to every one who wants to learn good and easy Thai cooking 🙂

  5. Madam is an amazing cook and she is super friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend and I had a lovely evening learning to cook various Thai meals. Was a great (and cheap!) activity, cannot rate the experience highly enough.

  6. I met my friend from Seattle, USA, every year she take 15 UW students for seminar in Thailand 1 month, my suggest that take her student to do activity for thai cooking class at madam thai cookery school, Chiangmai city every year. This year my friend busy and I drive car to take my friend’s UW students to cooking dinner there on 9, 12,13 Sep with 5 person/day. They are all enjoy and yummy.

  7. Great person! Great teacher! Excellent cooking! Huge time !I took 4 classes and learned more than 20 thai dishes.

  8. I specifically wanted a half day cooking course to show me some new recipes and where I was going wrong cooking Thai back home. Madam managed to accomplish this all with her standard teaching techniques, explaining how to over come some issues like, how to stop things sticking to the pan when you fry, and how to make sure you bring out the flavours and not destroy them, which is what I had been doing, and all this by doing some simple techniques!Madam ran a restaurant for 22 years and is so experienced, the recipes are very straight forward and I even got a class with just her and me.. which was excellent as I picked her brains about plants and fruits and what alternatives could be used in my country. If you new to cooking Thai or want to learn ow to bring out more authentic thai flavours, this is a definate for you.I’m just sorry I left this to my last day, I wish I had gone before and done some more sessons with her, as she also does longer courses of classes for people if your interested.A very beautiful kind hearted lady who shows you how easy cooking Thai is and the important factors to remember!

  9. We found this cooking school last minute to fill our final day in Chiang Mai. After looking through most of the cooking schools on TripAdvisor, we decided on this one as it is a vegetarian class and we needed an express option- this class being 2 hours long. Such a fun 2 hours it was!! Our instructor’s name was Nim and she was fantastic. We made 3 dishes with her and then finished with mango sticky rice. We made Tom yum soup, pad Thai, and masaman curry. All of the ingredients were so fresh, and included in that you make a chili paste to use in the recipes. We received a booklet with the recipes and more for us to take, and she gave us revised options for vegan recipes. Oh my gosh the food was delicious… and there was so much of it! We ended up taking the pad Thai home as we were full on the soup. Nim was especially helpful as before the class I mentioned I was curious about Khao Soi as it is a specialty in Chiang Mai. When we made the massaman curry, she brought out egg noodles and showed me out to make Khao Soi for an extra! It was so generous of her and was amazing to see her whip it up. I am so happy we did this class, and recommend it to everyone, even if you aren’t vegetarian as I am not but still loved the recipes. Do this class!!!! You won’t regret it. So excited to make these recipes back at home!
