  1. I didn’t do the cooking class but imagine that would be amazing as she made the best sorbet for us! My mom and I wanted to go off the beaten track of Pai and that’s just what we did. Isara Garden Cafe is hardly advertised and the GPS took us to a dead end, dirt road which we couldn’t continue on because it got too bad for the car and also lost signal. So we almost didn’t find and missed out on this real hidden gem! But we pursued and eventually found it and it was our best experience in Pai! Beautiful little set up overlooking the mountains and fields and our chai teas were ground and made fresh for us, right in front of us! We also had the best sorbet ever! Mulberry and banana topped with delishly roasted cashews and seed! I recommend making this a must for Pai, away from the tourists!

  2. After visiting Isara Garden we can definitely state that this was one of our best experiences in Pai. The cooking experience gave us tools for daily cooking of healthy and tasty food for our back home every day life. The experience itself was both fun and rewarding, the teacher was amazing and fun and we will for sure recommend it to all of our friends..

  3. I visited Pai Dec 2015, just 10 month ago and Pai had a lot of places where one can just chill and relax. But now all the quiet cafes I visited are no longer quiet – with motorbikes roaring on every street, line and allies. I’m really glad to find Isara Garden – a hidden gem. So naturally beautiful, both the place and all the dishes I learnt. Such a breath of fresh air. I wish Muk all he best with her dreams: artistic restaurants, music place etc. One of the best thing in Pai.

  4. Muk delivered a very educational and inspiring class, superior hospitality and the freshest ingredients mostly from her very own garden. I am inspired by the way that you live Muk, such a happy and simple, clean and fresh environment. My daughter and I had the best time preparing and tasting such fresh herbs and spice flavors. It was as you say ‘a cooking lab’. However it was easy, simple and doable. We feel inspired to create again and again at home. The Chai was amazing and also so simple to prepare. I’m in love with Chai. Thankyou so much! We too are honored to be your Friend.

  5. Muk and her Isara Garden are unique at the beautiful Pai Valley. I’ve never experienced such an inspiring cooking class before I spent my day with Muk. She lives her passion and will cook creative vegan dishes in nothern thai-style cuisine with you. These are super simple and cookable for everyone at home as well. By the way the Isara Garden is a magical place in the nature surrounded by nothing more than this amazing nature of Nothern Thailand. Definitely a must do for everyone who’s in love with a healthy style of cooking and getting in contact with heart-warming persons like Muk.

  6. For some time I was looking for a cooking class that was a bit different from the others, one that would be in a beautiful and relaxed place in the midst of nature, possibly with not to many people and great vegetarian fresh food. This class was all of that and even better: I had a private class and Muk is a lovely open hearted person. The place is just wonderful, in a very peaceful area of Pai, the earthen buildings, the cats, the flowers, the deco, just everything is nice and makes this place a hidden gem. Food is delicious, simple, with plenty of herbs and a natural taste, only very little seasoning is used to still recognize all the different flavors of the veggies you eat, just as I like it. Now there is even a Restaurant if you wanna try her food without cooking it! Highly recommended, especially if you want to take a rest from Pai town and relax sipping a wonderful mulberry juice or lime-soda with hibiscus syrup and great food, then this place is for you. Thank you Muk!!

  7. Soooo happy we found this place, total highlight of our trip to Thailand. We had some trouble finding it, but just search for them on FB and you should have no problems. This is not a touristy type deal where the bottom line is money, this is just a beautiful lady sharing her passion for healthy, natural, and super tasty cooking!!!DO NOT EAT TOO MUCH BEFORE YOU GO!!Miss Muk has built her own paradise and an epic kitchen that you’ll be jealous of and want to create back home. (Shout out to Thomas too!! Lovely bloke!)My wife and I left not only having learned something new, but with well satisfied bellies and new friends. Her years of experience and experimentation have really paid off and anyone is lucky to share in that knowledge. No need to be vegetarian or vegan, all will love it!!If you are not satisfied contact me and I’ll send you your money back!!!Thank you Miss Muk, we will be sure to come see you again if we ever return to Pai, I’ll bring the beer, and you can let myself and my wife cook for you! Please look us up if you ever visit Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) again!

  8. We have been traveling to Pai now for nearly 20 years. The quiet laid back nature of the town has been overtaken by the faster pace of the next generation, and that is a natural thing. But at Isara Garden you can find a peaceful and quiet place.Muk runs a great cooking school and is interested in helping her students to learn and appreciate the subtleties of Thai cooking.I will never forget her saying “dice, don’t chop. Chopping makes the flavours leave the ingredients and stay on the chopping board. Dicing keeps the flavours in the food.”How true….I am going to pass that on to my grand children who love to cook with me.

  9. Very recomended, Do a favore to yourself and go for it!!Its the best cooking class in pai.מקום מדהים, חוויה אדירה, מאוד מומלץ

  10. We were lucky enough to be welcomed into Muk’s fabulous house for her cookery course, with a huge variety of fresh local ingredients laid out. The theme of her course is simple food, well made – if you cook with love, you taste the love. Everything was delicious, and Muk an excellent teacher. Aided by her sister, it was wonderful listening to their stories about growing up in Bangkok. The scenery was stunning and four very friendly cats kept us company. Having completed cooking courses before, none had the same passion as that shown in Isara. Highly recommended!
