  1. I met Mr. Em at Max Muay Thai with his fighters Federico and Puvan and I decided to travel up to Pai to visit Sitjemam Muay Thai campIts without any doubt an excellent gym with an awesome set up in the nature and expert trainers. Everything there is put together to help you with individualized attention and improve fast.

  2. I trained here for 3 weeks (mid September 2019 – early October 2019), and was relatively new to Muay Thai (had trained in MMA a bit a few years before though). I’d read all the positive reviews and was excited to take up this experience, but didn’t really know what to expect upon arrival. Mam was great, she picked me up for free when I arrived (the gym is about 5km away from central Pai), and was super friendly. It was really cool to live onsite at the gym with the other people who were training, there is definitely a bond that develops with the group. You are encouraged to push your limits when training, but no one forces you to do anything you’re not comfortable with. It’s really a top environment to train in, especially for beginners like myself. It felt a bit like a family towards the end, as we train pretty hard together and often ate meals together. It’s a pretty simple lifestyle (eat, train, sleep, repeat), but is exactly what you need when you’re training. What’s unique about this gym is the high level of 1:1 time you get with the trainers (especially when you are new, you will be helped out a lot!), and the small size of the group (the owners purposely restrict class sizes so that we get more individual attention). There is a big emphasis on technique here, which is fantastic, as you will be able to see your own improvements over time. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, and even the local area (you get to see a side of Thailand well away from the usual tourist bubble). Hope to return one day and pick up where I left off.

  3. Stayed for around 3 months on site and competed three times in that period with zero prior ring experience. Em the head coach installed a belief and confidence to perform. The training was based to help and develop a personal style to suit an individuals strengths. Mam who managed the camp, took care of any issues regarding visa extensions with sound advise and also helped chose correct fighting attire. The camp is located in a beautiful village with zero distractions with local places to eat and shops within a walking distance. The walking street is about 10km away if you fancy a change of scene. The sense of p was special with fighters from all areas of the world training alongside. The experience was priceless. For any fighter regardless of level, wether it’s real muay thai or western boxing, I highly recommend Sitjemam.

  4. I left everything to make a career in Muay Thai and Sitjemam welcomed me with open arms. Kru Em and Kru Mam are the owners/trainers at the gym and have been brilliant in progressing me everyday. Very close, friendly environment and not too overcrowded where you’re just seen as a number- you get the right training for your level and you get individual sessions with the trainers that make you feel like you’re part of a team. Started doing Muay Thai with Sitjemam and only after 2 months, they felt I was ready to compete. Trusted them and took the opportunity- had Kru Em in my corner, my teammates watching, and won my debut in Round 3 via KO. One of the best feelings i’ve ever had! Was going to stay for just 3 months but I’m convinced that this is where I want to base myself to keep training and keep fighting so i’ve extended! Thanks so much to Kru Em and Kru Mam, the trainers, and all the fighters there who make this experience amazing and one of a kind ??

  5. I’ve been training in Thailand for a long time, and this is definitely one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to!Family-run gym but with all the equipment you might need, the coaches are extremely competent and above all, which is very difficult to find, they devote the same attention to absolute beginners and professional fighters.Personalized training based on needs and diversified, never monotonous. After almost 3 years away from Muay Thai, Em and Mam managed to make me regain the necessary feeling and in just 6 months I fought in events of great importance (Lumpinee stadium, Thai Fight, MAS Fight, etc). Thanks for everything, Sitjemam gym!

  6. I came to Sitjemam with a few years of training, seeking to devote some time to Muay Thai and relax in the beautiful Pai countryside. What I wound up getting far exceeded any of my expectations – causing me to extend my stay to a total of five months. For starters, the training is fantastic. Almost every session included 3-5 rounds of pad work with some of the most experienced, skilled trainers that I’ve ever had. The ratio of trainers-to-students enabled a high degree of personalization. Beginners had a smooth introduction to the art of Muay Thai whereas those of us who fought, or expressed an interest in fighting, received a more intense, tailored program. In my five months at Sitjemam, I never saw or experienced any half-assed coaching: The trainers here are serious about Muay Thai and are genuinely invested in their student’s success. What makes all of this even more impressive is that the overall cost of training and living in Pai is relatively inexpensive, compared to what most people could expect to get at home. All that being said, the training wasn’t the main selling point. What really made SItjemam special, to me, was the people themselves. Over time, I felt myself becoming part of a tight-knit family, made up of incredible people from all over the world. We spent a lot of time together as a group, whether it be over food or unwinding with drinks and a few games of pool after a hard day of training. It was the time of my life, and I have no doubt that I’ll be back in the future.

  7. Amazing week, as an absolute beginner I didn’t know what to expect but Sitjemam trainers and people in the camp made it so enjoyable and I learnt a lot. Couldn’t be happier with the week I had, great price on scooter rental too! Highlight of my trip and met some amazing people

  8. Great gym!! I was a total beginner !! Learned to use a scooter would advise getting scooter in town to get to and from sessions.I would say that through doing muay Thai here I am more confident with my fitness with prior to training here was very bad. I now have the confidence to train Muay Thai at home or even take more advanced fitness classes which would never have been an option for me before training with mam and em and all the trainers. A nice group setting too I never felt left out and was always included and welcomed by all of the other guys training there. As a female solo traveller I would recommend other girls to come and train here. Muay Thai is not just for guys! Thanks for a great experience I won’t forget it.

  9. Spending 3 weeks here as a very novice Muay Thai enthusiast I can’t recommend sitjemam enough!Mam and the rest of the trainers are very accommodating to teach all levers from never tried before all the way through to professional fighting levels.I highly recommend spending at least a week here or longer as part of your travels through the beautiful north of Thailand. Also highly recommend for solo travellers!!

  10. Arrived in December booked onto the campus accomodation and training for 3 months twice a day.The trainers at the gym are off that of a high level fixing the smallest details that make the biggest impact of your form. If you are here to fight, become a fighter or even get fit. I can assure that the 3 months here- I lost 10kg of weight, got more flexible and got confidence in using the skills I learned (for sparing and padwork)The trainers will encourage you to get to your max potential working you hard but that being said- not to worry if you have injuries or worries they will work with you to get the full potential out of you.Now I can write for a long time saying the pros of this gym. But if you are in northern Thailand instead of making a judgement of this or any other review! Experience the sessions by yourself and you’ll see how good this experience is.3 days- 3 months you’ll enjoy it all.
