  1. Grab yourself some cold beers and a tube and float down the Pai river. It will be fun but you cannot compare it to Vang Vieng, Laos. I hope yopu don’t mind floating dead animals…

  2. I was led to believe this was a safe and fun leisurely activity. To my horror, I was wrong. From start to finish I was left nervous and unknowing. The river was dirty, polluted and full of dangerous wildlife. At one point we even saw a river snake. If we had been supervised I’d have hoped the experience would have been more pleasant, alas, it was not. You have two very disgruntled customers.

  3. Never set up a tour with pai expert travel company!!! They are so iresponsibale. Yesterday we went tubing with them. They offered a good price of 250 bat per person. I told them i’m a bad swimer and they promise an 8 kilometer and 2 hours of slow and chilled raft on a tube. Our group contained 12 people and one guide. They said that there is gonna be a break after one hour in order that everyone will chill in the water and wait to the last ones. After 30 minites of rafting i lost my freind and the rest of the group, i tried to go faster and in to the middle of the river, but i kept bumping on the river sides. I had to stend up twice in order to get rellised from the boshes. After 40 minites of being alone without any eyecontact with the group, i started to figure that the guide is not stoping and doesnt wait for me. The group were 2 kilometres ahead of me and i yeld so hard but nobody herd me. I started to get into panic and crying and almost drowned at a deep spot where i got stuck. I just waited for this nightmare to end. After more then an hour of being alone i saw that the guide waited for me next to a waterfall because the last ones of the group told him that i’m far behind. In this waterfall i fliped off, lost my glasses and i cried and yelled at the bad guide that i cant see propperly and cant stay there anymore vecause it’s too dangerous. We went up to the trail next to the river and 300 meters after, i found my freind lenibg a bamboo and waiting for me. I just cried for like 30 minites after because i got traomatized. I gave the guider my phone (it was kept in a water proof bag) and he called his bos to pick us up from the road. I explained everything to the bos, that the guider didnt wait for me. That they promised a chill river but it was very fast going and not apropiate for tubing. They didnt even appologized to me. They didnt gave a refund eventhough it was a dangerous trip that we didnt finished. I wrote this story in order to make tourists know that this a dangerous tourism office. You can’t trast them, they want your money and they’ll hide the risks from you. There is so many other tourisem offices in pai, just try them. Aya tours were good. This trip is’nt recomanded for families with kids and not to adults who are not a good swimmers, like me.

  4. The river in Pai has a whole host of guesthouses and bungalows along the riverbanks. There is also a nice restaurant near the bamboo bridge, which looks upmarket but is actually no more expensive than anywhere else. A large beer costs 100 baht if you just feel like a drink while admiring the view. There is a large menu of Thai and western food also which is good value. One of the bamboo bridges was washed away by strong currents while I was there a couple of weeks ago. When it is not dangerous you can go tube rafting but while I was there the water was very rapid flowing becausd of a lot of rain.

  5. Just being in this beautiful valley is magical, and then there is this wonderful, wide river..the Pai River..Filling the valley with much needed water.

  6. We were fortunate to be staying at the Siam Reverie just outside Pai town, and the Pai River flowed alongside the resort gardens. It was wonderful to sit and watch the river flowing peacefully and gaze towards the mountains in the distance. We were additionally lucky enough to be staying in Pai during the Loy Krathong celebrations last November and launched our krathongs into the river from a small pier at the hotel.Several bridges span the river in the vicinity of Pai and there are some lovely looking small hotels and guesthouses on the banks.

  7. Pai has a prominent place, the core canyon, which is only Din Daeng, is a high strait. With very beautiful views. There is a famous coffee shop in Pai that is Coffee in Love. Is a coffee shop that is a great place to relax. Pai is a tourist attraction that wants people to admire because it is a very interesting city. There are delicious food and local food.Pai is an ideal place to stay with family on holiday.

  8. A beautiful, clear river running through Pai and the jungle areas. I took a stroll along from Walking Street and it was very picturesque in some spots.Lots of hotels can be found near the river, also some good paths for walking. It’s nice to hear the trickling of water against rocks and fallen trees whilst listening to the birds talking to one another and the sounds of the jungle.

  9. Something strange happened overnight. Yesterday the Pai river was crystal clear, with bright green water weeds and silver flashes from the little fish. Today it is a muddy brown. Something drastic has happened upsream.

  10. Just showered having done our tubeWe loved it!Bit nervous as a lot of the reviews involved elephant poop/dead animals/near death experiences It was brilliant. Sept so shoulder season – river had enough water. Got grounded once. Really chilled and pleasant hour long ride! Want to do it againHave to recommend this gent. Little English but so nice. Arranged via whatsapp – picked us up and drove us there. His wife then took the truck back and he guided us!
