We spent on night in this bar with a group of 5 people, we ended up with 10 new friends. The place is great, they have live music and a pool. It’s a good place to meet people.
Went to yellow sun bar on two occasions, once for relaxed drinks and one for shakes. Was so nice sitting at the bar, chatting the the staff on the first occasion. Super friendly staff, and great (strong) cocktails. Would recommend shakes from here also, had a hilarious night. And when the bar closes at 12, head over to don’t cry!
Came here twice just for a few beers each time. Free wifi and free pool! Guys at the bar are all super nice too!
A meeting place for most people in the know, go down to the bottom of Walking Street , lots of street food stalls serving good food very cheap, follow the road round to the right and just along is the bar, you will hear the music, there are also a few other places along that piece of road and a good burger joint if you are still hungry.
They advertise a happy hour with the only explanation being 10pm. I ask the bartender before 10pm if the happy hour has started. He said no it starts at 10pm for the World Cup. Then 10pm comes and I go to get one of the happy hour drinks. He says no it ended at 10pm. A joke and a scam.
We came here twice and both times had a great night. The staff are wicked, so lively and energetic every single night! Music is just what we liked. Both times we came the music was bashment / reggae / dancehall – great if you want a dance. Although, I expect they probably play other music too, this was just what was on the times we came! I would definitely pass by for a drink during your night in the walking street if I were you!Enjoy!

Lured in by the happy hour we ordered 2 Singapore Slings, and were served glasses of sickenly sweet cordial with a trace of Gin… expensive ones too
During our accidental travellers bar crawl we found ourselves on in Pai, one of the stops was the Yellow Sun Bar. When we arrived (around 12pm) it was absolutely heaving, full of travellers & vacationers enjoying themselves surrounded by cheap drinks. There was a live band playing at the time and when they stopped a DJ came on afterwards and smashed on some tunes.
