I loved Mac’s thai massage course. If you like small groups and lots of opportunities to practice; a teacher with a legit understanding of what he’s doing (knowledge being passed on from previous generations), a quiet and peaceful environment to learn, delicious food and the facilities to cook for yourself too, this is the place for you. My only regret is not to have taken the 4th week of therapeutic massage… one day I will be back!Mac is a very generous and patient teacher, and he’ll go out of his way to adapt a technique to your abilities and preferences. You’ll learn alot from the classes themselves but Mac’s attitude and approach to life are also such a big inspiration. Don’t forget to go explore the village around; the rice paddies at sunrise, the market at night. There are some waterfalls, mountains, caves and temples very near you can go check out on a scooter. Thank you Mac for your kindness! I wish you all the best.
I spent over a month learning traditional Thai Massage at Mac’s school, and I feel very humbled and happy by this experience.What Mac teaches goes beyond of the physical body, and even if theory is learned, these healing teachings must be experienced.Mac is unique, an amazing human being and teacher and will do all possible to help.The school is in his property, a really calm and beautiful place with lot of healing to offer.Meals are delicious and I loved my single house!I look forward to come back soon and Id highly recommend Mac’s school.
I am a professional masseur from Tirol, Austria and I was very happy with the way Mac introduced me to this healing Thai massage. The importance of being relaxed as a therapeut and therefore being better for Your client is a real truth. I like the scripts every student gets to remember the moves and a chart of techniques to provide a 1 two or 2,5 hours long massage. Mac cooks tasty Thai meals every day and You have plenty of time to practice after class. Relaxed athmosphere is so important for a smooth learning process. If You want to go elswhere, You have bikes and scooters in disposition. Great kickstart and toolkit for Your new practice!
I’ve spend 4 weeks studying thai massage in this school and I loved it! It was a great experience I’ve learned a lot about thai massage but so much more! Mac is an amazing teacher and person (also great cook). He teach with patience and kindness. He is always there to help us, laugh with us, show us his place and the country side. I already want to go back! Thank you for everything!!!
It is not just a massage course. Mac (the teacher) has this kind of aura that makes you feel like home in such a natural way.If you ever decide to make this happen, forget about western way of learning and try to flow. I have learn so much from Mac, his knowledge is so wide and he teaches in a very easy way that even the ones who don’t have a great english knowledge will still get a great understanding.The place is located in a very local area outside of Chiangmai city, surrounded by nature which I really appreciated, so I could be 100% focused on the course. Get ready to learn a lot at the same time you will have fun!!Who says learning has to be boring and tedious??Thank you Mac for such a great experience??
Great place to learn Thai Massage, away from the city hustle, in a true family atmosphere environment. Met some lovely people, eat some delicious food, and most importantly learned heaps about that massage. Mac is a great teacher and an all-around fantastic human being. This was one of the most fun and rewarding learning experiences I’ve ever had.
Studying with Mac has been a fabulous experience. His teaching style is attentive and laid-back and he is very skilled in the art of Thai Massage. His focus is on making sure that you are giving center and feel comfortable in each of the movements in your own body. This makes for flexible learning too, where it is really YOU at the center of class and not simply a textbook or sequence. For 200 baht/night, Mac also offers delicious vegetarian lunches (which were always enough for my dinner too) and accomodations in simple furnished rooms. You’re a 20-minute walk to the village markets which have everything you might need and a 25-minute motorbike ride into Chiang Mai. The peace and tranquility of the place itself is also a special part of the learning atmosphere. Out amongst the banana and mango trees, I have found time to simply be with myself and focus on learning Thai Massage. I would also like to share that after a month of working with Mac, my body feels very open and free. This guy is a special one, his touch heals and he really know his art. He is a dedicated teacher and he teaches for the love of it. So! If you’re drawn to the Fine Art of Thai Massage, away from the city hustle and bustle, I couldn’t recommend it more. You will be in good, capable hands.

Estudie con Mac desde May a Junio 2024.Nadie me recomendo la escuela, solo Busque en Google, empece a seguirlo en Instagram y vi que todo era real.Honestamente lo recomiendo 100% , el training fue muy intensivo y supero mis expectativas. Hablo espanol e inglés basico y pude entender Todo. Su inglés es muy sencillo y facil de entender.Mac es un Master de Thai Massage, ademas te comparte un poco de su vision. No solo es una Escuela, te hace sentir en familia, cocina para ti y te ayuda con cualquier duda acerca de la ciudad.Me quede durmiendo ese mes en la casita pequeña. Es una opcion, pero hay Otros alojamientos cercanos dependiendo de las comodidades que quieres. Gracias Mac por todo tu conocimiento compartido. Not only is it a School, it makes you feel like family, he cooks for you and helps you with any questions about the city. I slept that month in the little house ( accommodation inside the school). It is an option, but there are other accommodations nearby depending on the amenities you want. Thanks Mac for all your knowledge shared. It has been a wonderful experience and I hope to return soon. If you are looking for options to study Thai Massage. I Recommend Mac as your first option. You will not regretted.
