We hired Richard’s service for a day trip around Chiang Mai. Richard is a great guide, good English, wide knowledge, a very pleasant person, I highly recommend
Terrific experience. Richard has very good English and the vehicle we were in was a luxury Toyota Camry which was similar in style and standard to an s-class Mercedes-Benz. We had a whole day tour and I must say it was comfortable. He was good company and informative. I highly recommend and in fact did refer some other guests at the hotel to utilise his services.
I came across a review for Richard on TripAdvisor and got in touch 6 mths before my trip in Nov. We discussed my itinerary for Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai and he provided a quote for the trip. I had received another quote from another operator.Closer to the trip when I reconfirmed the quotes, Richard stood by what he had quoted despite higher fuel costs while the other operator’s quote increased.When we finally arrived in Chiang Mai, a last minute addition for Doi Ithanon was decided and we booked that with Richard as well.Summary, Richard was an honest and friendly person. He is a very safe driver and went above and beyond, suggesting additional places to visit for both days.Strongly recommend if you need to arrange a private driver for your visit, do support this wonderful gentleman.

I highly recommend this private tour guide in Chiang Mai. The vehicle was very nice and the personal service was top-notch. Our full day tour to Chiang Rai was amazing and the tour of the tea plantation was a real treat but then topped off with visiting the the coffee highland area of Don Inthanon. Richard was extremely polite and informative, and he made sure to recommend the best places to stop for lunch and coffee. We booked the tour only the day before we asked him to plan our day with minimal input from us and it ended up being the highlight of our trip to Chiang Mai. We felt like we got to see everything in a very relaxed way and being able to stop and take as long as wanted was what we wanted. we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was all upside with Richard as our private tour guide and we would definitely use his services again.
Richard is great. He responds promptly to emails and texts, is prompt, patient, and flexible. We changed our plans in the middle of our day with Richard, and he was completely accommodating.
We travelled around city with Richard. We also went to the full day trip. Richard is easy going, great quide with very good English and knowledge of local culture, places to visit. Great companion for local travelling, highly recommended.
We had 6 great days touring Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai with Richard as our guide. His English is good and he has an easy going lovely personality. He has an extensive knowledge of the history of the area and could answer all my questions. He tailored our tour in line with our wishes. So we started early when it was cooler and quieter then back to the hotel during the high heat then back out again in the late afternoon to finish the day off with a sunset at the temple. I would happily recommend Richard to anyone and would use him again I’d we returned to the region.
Richard is such a lovely man. We couldn’t even asked for a better tour guide/ private driver. Reasonable prices. He is very patient. We spent two wonderful days with him. I highly recommend him.
