Black rose bar is located right on the beach and is a beautiful little place! Highly recommended to walk out on the rocks for some beautiful views of the beach and the area around. Also a must to climb the stairs up to the top of the cliff where there is a white monument and some great view! We hade some quick lunch here and they need to step up the food and the service and this will be a awesome place for a day at the beach. For the waitress smiling is free and the seafood wasn’t fresh.
The Black Rose Bar and restaurant, has gone over a major make over recently, it’s a very chilled atmosphere and a little remote to get to, but worth the bit of a walk. (It’s west of the Lomprayah ferry pier). Good prices on cocktails, especially at Happy Hour! (s). Good food menu too! There is a good view point on can climb to get a spectacular view of part of Maenam beach. It’s a laid back kind of place, worth seeking out
Visited Black Rose Bar in 2016 and four years later it’s still there (slightly re-configured) but with a charm entirely of it’s own making! After a 45 minute amble across the beach, we reached the Black Rose Bar, sank into our chairs and ordered Chang beers! We then proceeded to watch the sunset before heading off to the Mae Nam Thursday Night Market.Bliss!
Not so fare from our resort . The Chill-Out Place is a hidden gem, set on the beachfront, it is a classic Thai-Reggae thatch-roofed beach bar and can enjoy here cocktails, drinks as well during the day. In the evening the relaxing sunset time. cool place, tranquil tropical beachfront holiday style than it is for its hustle and bustle at night.
When I walked Maenam beach last August I was hoping to take a rest break here but unfortunately it was closed. I assume it closed down due to pandemic. Maybe one day it will be revived.
We went for a late drink and dessert. Charming beach bar / restaurant with a delicious pineapple chocolate pancake and mango sticky rice. The lemonade was also very good. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Great Place at the quiet end of Maenam Beach with yummy food & drinks, Reggae music and very nice people. We came there every evening during our stay and already miss it!
The bar is located at the end of the beach, so it’s kinda quiet there. The food and drinks are very good (although waiting times can be little longer sometimes). The staff is very friendly and the view directly at the beach is just great! Would definitely recommend it 🙂
