FitKoh Thailand is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 32/8 Moo 5, BanTai, 84330, Thailand
I had an amazing experience at Fitkoh where I spent 3 months end of 2023 doing their body transformation program and I warmy recommend it. First time in Thailand and first time doing a “fitness camp/holiday” but it immediately turned out to be a great decision: superb location by the sea, competent and friendly staff, good food and good vibe. Super happy with the results, discovered Muay Thai and met some great people along the way!
Having initially booked a one month programme at fitkoh I ended up staying for two months seeing how beneficial and enjoyable this life experience was for me. This was helped tremendously by coach Arti who was supportive and caring in her approach to helping me reach my goals. She is professional, hardworking and very friendly; a highly likeable character and very popular around the camp. Thank you again to her and all at Fitkoh for welcoming me to a place I’ll surely come back to.
I have written many good reviews before but never a bad one. There is a first time for everything.I came to Fitkoh for my third time and was planning on a 10 month fitness journey. I have always considered this to be “my happy place”and my “home away from home”. It had a personal touch and presence by the owner, Tony, and a family feel, not to mention great fitness classes and trainers that kept me coming back. When I came back in 2021 I was so happy to see it survived Covid and it was still going strong. I even left a testimonial on their website which I will request to be removed because I can no longer recommend Fitkoh as a fitness destination. Half way through my journey the owner, Tony, decided to change the packages. The package I was currently on was removed. The owner went on vacation and left a new employee to do his dirty work of letting his current clients know. This did not only affect me, there were many clients, foreigners and locals that chose to leave. The new plans were “pay for an expensive package (extremely overpriced) which includes meals, and pay up front”. The food is delicious, however, expecting some to eat the same meals for ten months is ridiculous especially when they never change the menu. After a four year relationship it would have been nice to hear it from the owner himself. Instead, he never had a discussion with me in person but told other clients and employees that we had discussed this whilst putting words in my mouth which were flat out lies! Maybe an option would be to let current clients finish their journey and new clients adhere-to the new packages. This is not my only complaint. Because of the archaic way of managing the business accounting, my bill was wrong every month when payment was due. I could go on from cockroaches and bugs in my room (I was told this is “island life”) to non existent customer service. If you’re looking to gain weight or lose weight there is no nutritional guidance. Also, there is a lot of gossip and drama amongst the employees and clients which does not result in the relaxing zen environment I have had in my prior two journeys. There are still good things about Fitkoh, the kitchen staff is beyond pleasant and accommodating and the classes and trainers remain top notch. Today, it is my honest opinion that Fitkoh no longer has that personal touch or family feel that made it unique. I flew from the United States to Thailand and had the entire fitness journey planned just to have it turned upside down. I was heart broken and now leave Thailand terribly disillusioned about Fitkoh! Tony was the main draw of Fitkoh, but he has abdicated his role and checked out from leading Fitkoh. I cannot in good conscience recommend Fitkoh as a fitness destination!
Completed 6 days of training. If you are a fitness/martial arts enthusiast look no further. Expect to do 3 a days (2 classes, 1 one solo trainer session). You will sweat buckets (even in February). While the trainers are positive and encouraging to all levels, what you put in is what you get out. They’re many trainers who respond with more enthusiasm to higher effort levels. If you are a serious fighter/martial artist, arrange with management to find the trainer(s) to give you the work and technical instruction you want. ‘Non’ was a great fit for me, giving me love marks to show he cared. But you don’t have to spar or be struck at all to reap big benefits of hard effort. Gym is self contained, pretty much has it all with extremely good-clean food made right there. The lounging area has great beanbags in the shade under fans. Easy to socialize or just be alone. I lived in the gym for 6 days and found it painful to leave. Therapy massages were great and probably what kept me going. Downside – not much. It’s busy, so express what your goals are to get the desired guidance. At least a month is recommended if available. Can cost a lot to get to Thailand, but not much when there. 7-11s inexpensively covers most of your living needs. Many food choices outside of location. A secondary facility is located on an elevated position over the coast line and open for use and eating. A much healthier and more simple existence than modern western consumer pressure and bills. Some people (I guess without obligations) don’t leave. Mike
If you’re looking for a proper Muay Thai getaway with the most stunning back drop imaginable, look no further than Lionheart / FitKoh. All of the trainers are extremely knowledgeable and cater the sessions to your level of experience. The kitchen and hospitality staff in the connected restaurants and accommodation go above and beyond to make your stay very welcoming and the healthy meals are absolutely amazing.Ban Tai is a beautiful part of the island and far away from the distractions in the tourist heavy Chaweng area.Highly recommended if you are looking to focus on yourself and hit some fitness goals.

Everybody either extends their stay or comes back to Fitkoh.I was first here four years ago but had to leave due to Covid. It always stayed in my mind and finally had the time to come back.I did the three months Body Transformation program and highly recommend it.ARTI – Body transformation coach – is the best possible trainer I could’ve had. Great place, young, old, fit or out of shape… such a great atmosphere, everyone bettering everyone. Will definitely be back!
I already stayed twice at Fitkoh (accommodation was private, so no rating for the rooms) to lose weight, improve my strength and overall fitness. My fitness coach was Arti, she also had to fight some extra kilos in her past life, so she knew exactly where I was coming from and where I wanted to go. She took the time to understand my fitness level and adjusted the exercises to suit my needs. Her knowledge of fitness, combined with her motivating personality, made each session challenging yet fun. I highly recommend Coach Arti to anyone serious about achieving their fitness goals. My Muay Thai Coach was Nong B, the “Tsunami Knee Striker” a great fighter & champion that has become a great trainer! His technical expertise and personalized coaching helped me to improve my fitness level and confidence. My kicks and combinations have improved significantly and motivated me when I was back home to continue the training. Whether you´re a beginner or an experienced fighter, Kru Nong B is the one to train with.Last but not least, a big thank you to Bonnie & Kom excellent yoga teachers (PT with Kom are amazing), Gareth nutrition and boxing coach, thanks mate had so much fun, grazie mille Camila for your fitness classes, Tarn & Sanya at the reception thanks for your ongoing dedication, Sasa, Kate & the whole Team of the Fitkoh Cafe, thank you for the delicious dishes and especially for your warm welcoming dedicated service and lovely smiles, Tony & Hannah thanks for making Fitkoh and Lionheart so much more than just a fitness camp.
Best part of our Thailand trip was Fit Koh in Koh Samui. Everything was perfect. Food, jiu jitsu and everyone was so friendly. We fried Muay Thai for the first time and was so good there was no pressure at all being a first timer. Definitely wanting to come back for a longer stay!
