Local Tours Center is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 24-26 Sridonchai Rd. Soi 2, Haiya Sub-District, Muang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Thailand, 50100, Thailand
Our tour guide and driver were very friendly, especially the tour guide Khun Tom, who speaks English well and explained clearly every point we visited. Most importantly, the vegan meals that they provided was really sumptuous! It Is really good for vegan traveler like us!
The car arrived on time to pick us up from the hotel. The guide and the driver were very sweet, polite, and informative, providing us with details in a humorous and engaging way. The places we visited were all very beautiful. The journey through nature, which lasted about an hour and a half, was very smooth, and we truly experienced the natural environment. The only aspect that was average was the food we ate, which wasn’t particularly tasty, although the ingredients used were sourced locally and were of good quality.
Our jungle elephant experience was a thrilling adventure unlike any other! It’s perfect for those craving excitement, but may not suit older couples or those with mobility challenges. We opted for an exhilarating ATV ride over hiking, which allowed us to soak in breathtaking views and meet the gentle elephants along the way. For a more laid-back finale, we chose a bamboo raft instead of tackling white water, and it was the perfect way to unwind. Our guide, Sak, brought energy and insight to our journey, while the elephants charmed us with their playful nature. Knowing they roam freely in the jungle after hours only added to the magic of the experience, making it both relaxed and memorable.
This was a fantastic trip and we were very lucky on the day: good weather, saw 2 gibbons, a green garter snake and an eagle.MuMu was a wonderful guide, full of energy and fun. The day was divided up well, allowing good time on the various activities.

Thank you Lela ❤️ The temple was truly breathtaking and worth the drive – we would have gone to Chiang Mai just to see this. The hike was really fun as well- we saw some beautiful wildlife with a local guide. It was also fun to meet and chat with fellow travelers over lunch.
Booked this 3 in one trip expecting the jungle hike to be a meander through the jungle. Wrong! It was crossing bamboo bridges with often nothing to hold on to! Some crossings you had to go sideways because the path/ledge was so small you had to cling on to the rock face! The elephants were fabulous! Learned so much about them and their habits. It was really good to prepare the food we were feeding them before taking them to the river where you could help bathe them. The white water rafting was also terrifying at certain points. One of tourists in our boat was thrown from boat by a ferocious rapid which was absolutely terrifying. Thankfully our guides were really experienced and knew exactly what to do! All in all a fabulous experience. Would we do it again knowing what we know now? No! We are 63 and 65 and although we completed it all it was sometimes absolutely terrifying. You do have to be of a certain fitness level and I don’t think it’s for the faint hearted as for me there was too many risks. Am I glad I done it? Definitely!
This was a great time! The tour guide was great as well. We had an amazing time! This was an amazing experience I will never forget.
I enjoyed this tour a lot! We got to hike to see a waterfall, prepare food and feed the elephants, and river raft. I’d recommend chacos or a similar shoe that you can hike in and get wet that won’t fall off. They provide clothing to put on over yours to participate in the elephant activities which was nice otherwise all your clothes would be incredibly muddy and dirty. Since I went during the dry season I wish I would have done the sticky waterfall option instead of the river rafting, although I still had a great time rafting. The lunch was nice as well; we had pad Thai!
