  1. Booked two separate day tours with All Chiang Mai Tours:1 Day Trekking Adventure tourMountain biking – The Eagle RouteBoth very enjoyable and well organised. To be honest I’m not sure if they are just a booking agency or run the show!!The 1 day trekking covered a half hour on an elephant plus bamboo rafting. Both great experiences. Sort of a tick the experience if you don’t want to spend 3 days doing the same. My biggest buzz was doing a live video call back to the grandkids. “Look Poppas on an elephant !!”The bike ride was challenging, particularly since i had only mountain biked once before and said never again. But easy I went with some quite challenging sections without any personal damage (expect for a bit of a tumble near the end. maybe I shouldn’t have had that beer for lunch??). Perhaps because of the challenge and satisfaction, but in the end was a highlight of the trip. If you want the inside story – request a link to my travel blog!

  2. defo book this just back from thailand and this was the first thing we done on our trip and it was amazing although it’s about an hour and a half away so it’s a little trip away but we elephant trekked up the mountain we also fed the elephants we had extra time so the tour guy let us into the tribe that was there and didn’t charge us extra sooooooo nice the staff we then went zip lining and although was scary because it’s soo high up defo worth it we also went white water rafting a definite must to do was class trip

  3. Went on the 1 Day Long Neck Village Trek with our guide, Mit, he was a great, friendly guy and very onto it. His English was ok, but you got the jist of what was happening. After a stop at the orchid farm, we went to the long neck village (just a bit like another marketplace in the jungle as you would expect). Give money to the villagers for a photo….it feels a bit like a zoo, a bit sad. The we went to the elephant trekking. Riding the elephants with the basket on top was cool (not ideal for the elephants though, but no other option). Our mahut was great and calm, never hitting or touching our elephant, although other guests later mentioned that their guide was a bit rougher. Remember to buy food (even 2 bags) for your elephant…they love it.After the elephants, trek to a waterfall for maybe 30mins or so for a cool off. Good fun. We then drove down the road to the white water rafting which was actually a LOT better than expected (we have heaps of great WhiteWater Rafting in NZ), but would be better with more water as there were quite a few rocks…maybe in the rainy season? Bamboo rafting was relaxing, getting punted along by a little kid, try get no more than 4 or 5 on your raft or else it will sink ;)Overall, a great day trip round the tourist circle, but can’t complain for the price. I think these trips are the same as other ones too (e.g. lots of companies sell the same trip then all lump them in together into one). We drove in a songtow with 12 people too, not an aircon van. Thanks Mit for the great trip!

  4. We engaged the service of Samhui our private Chinese speaking guide with driver. It was a rare find as my Mother in law do not understand English and most guides speak English in Chiang Mai. Sam was punctual, jovial and easy going. He brought us to the best roast pork joint and a rain forest theme Khaomao-Khaofang restaurant which were fantastic. Through his experience, we were able to beat some queues like the elephant rides and when visiting the Temples. Sunday walking street is a must to visit and Warorot market is a local market where you can get cheap and fresh products.

  5. All day tour definitely worth the money!! I wish we could have had longer than one hour at the White Temple however. (This is the reason for 4/5 stars instead of 5). I believe the White Temple in Chiang Rai was the main highlight, and it would’ve been easy to cut out time at the multiple shopping spots, or had a shorter lunch break to accommodate this. Tour included pick up from hotel, a shopping stop at hot springs, White Temple, buffet lunch at the Golden Triangle, a visit to the Karen long-neck village, a boat ride with more shopping in Laos, and a couple other short stops. Definitely worth the money!! But lots of driving…

  6. Great trip! Toi was a very knowledgeable guide and she spoke English very well. She always had an explanation for all our questions. The park was just beautiful, lunch was delicious and the stop at the waterfall was very nice. In general we spent a very nice day. Bell the driver was also very polite and drove very carefully.

  7. Very friendly and helpful guide. We did trekking with them ,ride elephants, visit hill tribe and see waterfall, all are great experiences. We will do it again on next visit.

  8. every time we got to a place there was extra payment of 300b or else you had to stand by the bus and wait for 20-40 minThey should increase the Price, the Way they do it today is not good
