My Open Water course was planned and confirmed since December for March 17th. However, since I hadn’t received a confirmation, I called them the day before, only to find out they had not enrolled me. As a result, I had to start on March 18th, which caused issues for the rest of my trip.During the course, the instructor showed us the exercises once or twice, then asked us to repeat them just once. Since I’m not a genius when it comes to diving, I needed clearer explanations and more practice to really understand. Instead, I felt stressed throughout the course and was told that I wasn’t cut out for diving and should avoid it in the future.Ironically, I learned more during my Discovery Dive last summer than I did during my Open Water course, where I was overwhelmed and panicked the entire time. They managed to make me lose my passion for diving, even though it’s something I truly love.The material provided was clearly not the best: I didn’t feel comfortable in any of the material, not even the regulatorWhile the instructor was friendly, that simply wasn’t enough. I didn’t pay this much money to feel that way. Thankfully, I had the chance to dive with other centers that restored my confidence and didn’t project their lack of teaching skills onto the students
Beautiful trip to Ko Bida Nai and Ko Bida Nok for two dives. Rolling seas during the trip but wonderful when we got there. Loads of fish. Chin was a great guide.
Excellent diving shop. My son did his PADI ocean here and I was very pleased with the seriousness of the staff and the quality of the training. The 3 dive sites they offer are fantastic. It’s a bit of a trek (about 90min away) but they serve breakfast and an excellent thai lunch. So good value for money. We saw sharks (black tip) including a leopard shark, puffer fish, turtle, scorpion fish, and many others. We did 6 dives. Staff is very friendly.
You genuinely could not find a better dive school. I have been diving 25 years and this was such a wonderful experience. From start to finish – safe hands with my two children and so well organised. To add the dive sites are amazing – sharks, rays, seahorses, morays, and an array of beautiful fish. Thai was such a wonderful dive guide, just our family as a group and he made the day just magic. We went on 6 fabulous dives – thanks so much Lanta divers! We will be back ❤️❤️❤️
I did my first dive with Lanta Diver and it exceeded my expectations big time. What an amazing experience it was! The nerves disappeared quickly thanks to the great instructors. Huge thank you to Lanta Diver for making diving a life time memory.
My boyfriend and I did the discover scuba diving session with Markus. He was an incredible and very experienced instructor. For the first bit I was a bit nervous but he was so calm and collected – I felt very safe with him and I couldn’t recommend him enough. The whole experience was so fun and a great intro into seeing if you like scuba diving! We got to do 2 dives with an optional 3rd dive or snorkel and we’re also fed breakfast, a snack, and lunch. They also had an underwater photographer who took some awesome photos that we purchased! The front desk staff were also so friendly, informative, and helpful. They were also very fast to respond to my inquiries. Thank you so much Lanta Diver!

I arrived on Koh Lanta after a long break from both Thailand and Diving, so after a recommendation by a friend I walked into the Lanta Diver shop and discussed the following dive days with them. The staff running the office are very helpful and also experienced divers and they’ve helped me out on multiple occasions. I was diving most days, but even with some days of rest in between it was no problem at all keeping my gear in the cage or find 2 fully charged tanks there for me in the morning. It felt well organised and run, so I had full confidence getting back in the water with the dive masters and instructors working for LD. The two dive boats (they’ve added a third, smaller one) were also more than enough for the customers, staff and crew on each day’s trip. The gear provided to customers looked good, even though for this trip I brought my own to get comfortable with it. Speaking of the staff, I have to say that the guys and gals working as Divemasters(and DMT!) and Instructors all made a really solid impression on me. From my experience, everyone was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and focused on making every dive both fun and save as possible for everyone in the group. During the 2-hour-long trips to Koh Haa and Koh Bida there’s plenty of time to chat with your buddy or the staff to pass the time, talk about previous dives and the sightings or just ask general dive- or lanta-related questions. It felt like more than just a dive day with Lanta Diver, for which I am very grateful. So as my time in Thailand draws to a close once more, I sit on the benches of the pier in Sala Dan and reminisce about the previous weeks spent here – quality time as always, Koh Lanta doesn’t disappoint. A lot of this great time I owe to Lanta Diver, for the way they run the shop, the people working there made for a really enjoyable time. I’d love to come back soon.
Great trip to Hin Daeng, booked a month or so ahead. All worked perfectly, really good care taken of us on the boat. Great food and gear provided. Great dive guide. Excellent dive site.
As a family of 4, we visited Lanta divers without much hind knowledge. Nervous about diving, we met with friendly & social staff who organised, prepped our wetsuits and geared us for our dives, making us feel content, eager, confident and safe. All 3 of our dives were picturesque! In groups, we met our diving instructors Tay, who was authentic, genuine, knew what he was doing, friendly and professional! We practised our water skills in the first dive gaining confidence for the next one. Among beautiful coral reefs, we saw bundles of exotic Marine life, from schools of fish to tigersharks. With 45mins for each dive, in the first ship horn, we geared up and by the second ship horn, we jumped into the water. This was a beautiful experience as a family, prices were reasonable, the environment is safe and very professional but most importantly, very well organised (by Rebecca the boat master), authentic and easy to connect to! Wonderful food & facilities served on the boat! Thank you for making our marine time in Lanta a wonderful shared memory!
