  1. The gym has enough machines for some very varied workouts. There were only three treadmills though, and I was there in January-April, and one was broke since before January and one broke down in this period. None was repaired. There are other types of possibilities for cardio training, but a machine should not be left collecting dust, it should be repaired.

  2. Our first experience at Muay Thai. The kids are now hooked and will be continuing the sport at home. Very attentive and friendly instructors.

  3. Lanta Sport Complex seems to be the only freestanding gym on the island of Koh Lanta, potentially other resorts may offer non-guests a session for a fee but I did not look into this. Prices were ok I thought, 250B for a one off visit, opening hours 8am – 9pm daily. I was surprised how busy it was and I wasnt entirely sure if these were expats living on the island or tourists like myself. There was a real mismatch of equipment and nothing really matched, I attempted one machine but could not budge the weight pin so left it at that. I did a work out using the free weights and kettle bells which were as mentioned a bit mismatched and I was also let down to see only one set of everything which made hard going when trying to work both sides of your body simultaneously.Towels were on offer free of charge however there was none left and I was only able to purchase overpriced water from the on site cafe that was apparently changing hands so looked like a bit of a building site too. There was large holes in the walls where weights have not been returned to their benches safely and the Swiss balls were too soft and had next to no air in them so I was unable to use them, I also could not seem to find any mats so I did floor work straight on to the rubbery floor which was comfortable, although a bit dirty!I was desperate for a workout so it made it worth while however an interesting experience and as long as you don’t expect too much you’ll enjoy yourself.

  4. I have just returned from a 2wk holiday in Thailand and spent 8 nights at Lanta Sports. I had an amazing time there and next time I will stay longer as I would like to fight and explore more of beautiful Koh Lanta. The muay thai training was was the best I have had in Thailand and I felt very happy as the instructors were so helpful and friendly. I also made a lot of new friends and enjoyed a couple of Muay Thai shows at Williams Stadium!I stayed in one of the gym bungalows with a/c and it was perfect-spacious, clean, comfortable and great value for money. I booked a package through Lanta Gym website-2x a day training, breakfast and bungalow for 8 days-it was well worth it! The pool was fab and the restaurant was fantastic with lovely food-great value. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful as were all the staff.I hired a bicycle from the gym and it took me 5mins to cycle to a few shops, nice massage place, restaurants, stunning beach and Lanta Animal Welfare. Obviously you need a moped or taxi to explore more but they can be hired from the resort and the taxis are very reasonableI had a wonderful and very happy time there 🙂

  5. A very outdated and run down gym. The bathrooms were outside and very bad. No locker rooms, no shower, several pieces of equipment broken. I walked in – looked around – looked at the prices – and walked out. Then I walked back in another day, looked around, and walked out again. I very much wanted a gym to work out at, but this wasn’t it. It is worth about 1/4 of what they are asking, and if it was, then I would think about it.

  6. Overpriced gym with old seedy equipment 250 baht for tiny gym and not much equipment at all and very busy, but I guess if your desperate for a work out it’ll do. Staff are rude and don’t speak good English.. have fun.

  7. Renovated recently, machines are of good quality for thailand and we have the place to our selves early arvo, air conditioning cranks hard.

  8. Lovely place, did PT training with Amelia – a very good new start in my life. Everything you need to excersize the whole body, good music. Extra plus for the nice thai lady owner. I’ll be back!🤗
