Donki Mall is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 107 Soi Sukhumvit 63 Khwaeng Khlong Tan Nuea, Khet Watthana, 10110, Thailand
We went for a japanese diner: 4 people, 2 cars and 1990 thb bill. After eating we went around the mall, bought a couple of things at a japanese store (500thb). As we got to the parking we realised that there is a machine to pay parking fees. What a surprise when we had to pay 50thb per hour… I am not keen on coming back, as the mall has nothing exceptional to visit for… apart from a hello kitty world, a poor indoors place and same old japanese restaurants are anywhere else
I just need to review only Donki. 1st floor is about food, desserts, fruit, dine in area and some restaurants and tea cafe. 2nd floor is about cosmetic, consumer products.what I am disappointed in this place are 1. Parking fee policy is not fare and pricey. Parking is free only 1 hour. Even we buy things or dine in here and have receipt more than Baht1000, you still have to pay parking fee at Baht 50/ hr and Bht 100/hr for evening time. Plus you have to go to parking auto machine to pay by your self and unlucky sometimes with very long queue. 2. Cashier counter on 1st floor is ridiculous, ex. if you want to buy only food box which located at one side then you have to go long way to the cashier at another side just to pay and wait other people buy lots of stuffs with long queue. There should have cashier counter at food section. Why everyone have to go play the queue at same location! Cashier operate only 3 channels on Sunday !! I am not recommend who drive a car or have less time visit here. In another of my idea Donki is a fun shop when we are in Japan.. right?
Amazing! Not your regular grocery store, unusual organizing, but full of amazing japanese products from toro, noodles, rices, snacks.Dont miss the hokaido milk shakes and sweet potatoes in front.
Another great store from Don Quijote but if you’re not too familiar with its concept it might seem unusual, especially if you hail from an insipid whitewashed culture. The items are thankfully Asian, without the lame pandering to alien tastes (pasta) and most of our fellow customers will also be Asian – with an interest in Japanese products. Fitness equipment and cosmetics are on the first floor, while the ground floor is devoted to food products. Located in a nice area of the capital, the store is far away from disgusting pubs and bars serving hard drugs in glasses, frequented by ฝรั่ง paedophiles and sex tourists.
Donki isn’t a discounted supermarket anymore. However that shouldn’t stop you from visiting the mall at Thonglor. The first floor has toiletries, skincare, household and kitchen goods and toys. Independent shops of other Japanese brands like Own Days (Spectales + sunglasses) etc are also on the first floor. On the ground/entrance level, they have a mini food court and Japanese snack and food items.something for everyone. The washrooms come equipped with Japanese toilets.
Quite disappointed. I walked here from Big C purposely to find some Japanese stuffs I thought it will be easily be found but they don’t have it. i.e. they had very small varieties of Japan coffee. And they had the whole Japanese drug store liked floor but they don’t have eye drops from Japan. What a shame.I agree with some of the review here. The cashier is just too weird. I spent a 15 minutes just to find them. It is located behind a place where you can’t see them.I thought Gateway Ekkamai is better than Donki.
When I went to Donki Mall, there were several floors. The lower level is a 2-storey supermarket, all products from Japan. Upstairs is a Japanese restaurant with a shop zone and a hall. There is an underground parking lot, the parking lot is quite difficult to find because there are a lot of people parking. Some products are similar to those in Japan, but the prices are slightly different. Another interesting thing is Donki’s Burnt Sweet Potatoes. I buy it almost every time I go. The taste is sweet and very delicious. If you eat it while it’s
No staff that speak engish and everything is very very japanese focused I would expect atleast some thai local brand options, the mall wasn’t even located in japan town – so a bit confusing.
Be very careful! If you want to refund an item it will be a hell of a process. I tried to refund something I bought a day before. The lady had to make 7 phone calls, have 4 different people come to sign documents and check items and at the end she wanted me to buy items instead of giving me a credit card refund. She said it takes 45 days for them to process a refund which is probably the longest in the world. That wasn’t the end! She would not give me proof of refund!Outrageous when they have 40 cashiers to take your money but 1 person and 20 procedures to refund something worth 20 dollars!
It’s a Japanese themed store, expect all Japanese influenced products and restaurants here – There is one new thai mini food court though probably for expats and staff working at the building. The Donki supermarket is on the first floor, the korean bars and reastaurant is located here, there is a second book store as well as physical therapy and head onsen. Parking is not free here unless you eat at the restaurants on the 3rd and 4th floors. Loong Mala has a huge branch here, as well as a gym. There is tables and chairs in public area on the 3rd floor if you want free aircon. A mini pharmacy on the first floor next to donki, a glasses store, a golf shop and a childrens sport arena on the top floor. Sales of prepared food and sushi star roughly from 6 pm to 7pm so come and grab.
