We enrolled for the PADI Open Water course and we were extremely impressed by Niklas’s professionalism and attention to details. Thanks to Nicole’s well organised arrangement and logistics and we are so happy to join the dive club! We will definitely come back again to explore different dive sites in Phuket!
I was brought to Nicole Dive Centre by a friend who has experienced difficult instructors in the beginning of her diving journey. I too was worried about the chance of having the same experience as her. However, to my surprise, instructor Niklas was amazing! He was assuring, patient, clear and precise about every part of the Open water course as it progresses. We were able to trust him with our lives underwater. Our safety was his 1st priority! This helped me love diving even more!Even after the course, Nicole and Niklas answered every question I have over various social media platforms. I really appreciate the level of sincerity they have for their customers.Advance open water course is already set in Oct. I am determined to stick with Nicole dive center throughout my diving journey and courses. WAY TO GO NICOLE DIVE CENTER!
We had a wonderful experience with our coach Jafar! Though we come in the rain season of Phuket , we go a sunny yet cool day for our scuba diving , our coach Jafar is nice, patience and funny guy which make our journey a more memorable one .Moreover , he tried to rescue an eel which was trapped with a fishing rope and hook. We dived along the sea bottom and saw many kind of creatures. From my exp, I especially suggest you should add on with a photograph session , they will take good pictures and video of your journey!!!I must come back again , thanks for the hard work of Nicole for organizing and Jafar for teaching us how to dive !
Decided to learn how to scuba dive on a whim and wanted to do it in Phuket. A lot of diving centers were recommended but ended up choosing to book with Nicole Diving Center. Was a little worried at first doing it alone so asked Nicole to team me up with a group which worked out much better as we all became friends by the end of the experience. As someone who is very particular with details, Nicole & Nick were absolutely on the ball in making sure we understood everything, and that we felt comfortable & safe in and out of water.Other moments when there wasn’t much to do, both were really personable and easy to get along with.Overall, the experience was incredible. Because of these guys, I am now even more interested in pursuing the next goal of being Advanced OW certified.
Nicole is such a great coach. It was my girl’s first dive and I was worried if she would be too nervous to enjoy it. But Nicole made everything easy and relaxing. Her instruction is clear and precise, and she makes you feel safe in all circumstances. We had a wonderful time under the sea. Nicole took many many beautiful pictures of us and the fish. Transport and food were well arranged too. Btw she is very fluent in Cantonese, recommend to hongkongers in particular!
This is my first overseas diving and this is memorable because the instructors are very friendly and nice. They are very careful and briefing clearly before every dive which makes me feel really comfortable and safe. Highly recommended dive shop in Phuket!!P.s especially thanks to Eamonn for the great pics!
A dive shop with heart and professionalism.I did OW training in January 2020 and back for the AOW in February. That by itself speaks a lot. I came alone for both OW and AOW training. Being very concerned about my own safety and training standard, I have asked friends and conducted extensive online researches of just about every aspect before diving in. (I have also read books about how to select an instructor, including but not limited to “SCUBA: A practical guide to Advanced Level Training”. (Kindle version available) This book has a chapter especially on instructor selection. Being a HK lawyer I read everything 🙂 )I did 1-to-1 English training with French instructor Maxime for OW. And I especially ask for him for AOW. (if you opt for Cantonese training, then Nicole Dive Center is a no brainer for any training/fun dive in Phuket, Thailand or even SE Asia (ok fun dive is different as dive sites are different)) Extreme care/safety, extensive knowledge and excellent in taking underwater photos, he is also a technical diver. If you ask, he would probably tell you his story about his jaw-dropping first SCUBA diving experience at the age of 9!Service is extremely good even before you engage them, just email her and you can expect all your queries be answered in good time. Gears are well prepared and in good condition. Everything is well organised. And don’t forget to pay a little for the photos. None of my friends, including DM and instructors, has their first giant stride filmed. Haha, now I have something to show to my grandson which they don’t! And while I brought a new Olympus TG-6 with housing for OW, it stays try. Don’t overestimate yourself for taking photos underwater while training. The instructors took much better photos while you are still panicking with your BCD!No complaint except one: their website is not quite up to date, so not all information about their services, dives or liveaboard options are there. Now I need to plan rescue diver and then dive master training with them.(Footnote for HK ppl: Nicole is extreme kind. These days she is busy sourcing surgical masks for her friends, students (me included) and others. Driving for hours everyday after a full exhausting day trip or training. And don’t make a profit.)
Allow me to take you on a story, in a land far away (from where I live anyway). It started innocently enough with a whats-app message, around 11am, – asking if there are any available SCUBA dives for the following day.I very quickly received a reply, asking if there was any particular dive I was interested in, to which I replied about a 3 dive course.I was then hit with a big YES, and the pricing information (cheaper than on website), details required for the dive (sizes and stuff for insurance purposes etc) and a preferred method of payment.I passed what details I could on, and arranged to meet with Nicole in the office in order to sort the payments. When meeting with Nicole, she was most friendly and bubbly, and had items picked out for me ready to go. Payment was settled, and we were set to start our trip from 7am the next morning… so-far, so good.Pickup arrived on time, and we headed to the pier where the boats would load us up, and send us off.And here’s where I met Eamonn… one of the most lovely Americans that exist. He was laid back, but focused. He delivered the safety briefing, and double checked all the gear for sizes. We took a moment to learn some basic hand gestures underwater, but I could have listened to his velvety mid-western accent all day.We then relaxed, and awaited arrival to the first dive…. after some light breakfast. The dive commenced, Eamonn was a gem, and was prepared for my inability to stay submerged, by adding a few extra pounds on weights, and playing with the air\vent thingy on my suit. Before I knew it, I was gracefully swimming about like a pro!The 2nd and 3rd dives went even better, as we bonded in the deep blue, the only regret is I couldn’t hear his beautiful voice underwater. But his hand at a camera, and my enthrallment of being photo’d, made for some great holiday souvenirs.Food was included on the trip, which was awesome.Lots to see down there, we had a great day for it, but the time flys by so quickly.Would thoroughly recommend to all that you pay these guys a visit while staying in Phuket – great way to spend the day!
My dive review can be summed up into a single word “Awesome”Having not dived in a number of years, my memories of diving had faded into a little more of a blur with a few memorable highlights thrown into the mix. After visiting a number of dive stores around Phuket and being greeted by employees/owners who treated me like they were doing me a favour by even listening to my request I became despondent about my diving prospects during my stay. While making my way up and down a few side alleys in Patong looking for interesting shops and stalls I stumbled upon Nicole Dive Center. Their reception was welcoming, aircon cold and staff extremely eager to assist. Nicole greeted my wife and I warmly, and she was eager to assist. We went through my dive experience, qualifications and what types of dives I would like to have. After going through the various options, dive sites and even the weather forecast, a booking was made. I was given the opportunity to try on their dive gear and ensure I was comfortable with their equipment. Before the day of the dive, communication was excellent and I was all ready to hit the water. The day of the dive, Nicole met me at the pier and introduced me to my instructor for the day. Even though I was the only diver in her group, I had an instructor all to my self. If you are a regular diver, you know how great this is on new sites 👌🏻The diving was awesome, and the diving bug has bitten again.
Everything was well arranged, the transportation and the meal leave you nothing to worry about but to enjoy our fun dive. And the equipment they provided were so nice. The wetsuit fits but not too tight. The regulator didn’t make you too dry that you have to keep swallow saliva during dives (these may seems basic but I did have some bad experience with these equipment, believe me, these basic items can greatly affect your diving experience). Not diving for 3 years after getting my OW cert, our diving master Kenny was very professional and helped us to pick up our skills so that we can fully enjoy our dives. The second diver Aden also always checked on us and make us feel safe. Definitely recommend to visitors who go to Phuket!
