Oasis Sea World is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 48/2 Moo 5 Pak Nam Subdistrict, 22130, Thailand
We spent a night in Laem Sing only to get to this park. There were a few buses of school children there, but they watched the show and left. We basically walked around the park alone. This was in 2012 maybe and we paid 2,000 baht each for 1 hour of swimming with dolphins. 30 min with a pink one and 30 min with a Thai grey dolphin. Not sure this is something animal rights folks would approve of, but maybe this type of experience makes a person a lifelong admirer and future donor to WWF or other animal protection groups.
I booked a ticked to swim with dolphins. The next day I was informed that this activity is unavailable on my chosen date and was offered to choose another day. I declined and asked for a refund. 1.5 months later I still haven’t gotten my refund despite a lengthy chat over email with their representative. In the end, they stopped answering me.
We loved our visit to Oasis. We had a nice nice dolphin show, feeding the giant groupers was real treat. Best however was the one hour swimming with the dolphins. What a great experience. I got to swim, under guidance of a trainer, with two dolphins. The whole place could use a lick of paint and maybe some more of an aquarium.
Have never seen my 3 year old son so excited at the Dolphin show. Throughout the show he kept clapping his hands and saying “WOW”.
I felt depressed visiting Oasis Sea World. Maybe it was an Oasis once-upon-a-time in the 1980’s, but now it looks like it got caught up in a hurricane: the entryway has a hand-painted “Oasis Sea World” sign, the area where 5-6 Dolphins perform looks too crowded for them as it’s not even as big as a competitive swimming pool. The pool where the Dolphins perform has chipped tiles (ouch!) and a molding stucco background with faded paint graphics. A rusted basketball net hang to the side of the pool and I think it’s part of the show. I don’t know because I felt so bad for the Dolphins that I left. There’s nothing to the park besides the haunted-looking swimming pool where the Dolphins perform, the equally ghetto and questionable area for swimming with the Dolphins (looks like it has crocodiles or sharks, it doesn’t but it looks like it to me) and there’s also a place to feed pellets to huge grouper fish.NOTE: The purpose of this honest review is to encourage the Oasis Sea World management to invest money into fixing the park area, improving the well being of the Dolphins (if needed), make the park area more presentable and beautiful. My idea is to get the huge busses of Chinese tourists to visit the park and use the revenue for fixing and remodeling the amusement park area.
Please don’t go and don’t pay money for that. They are force to do show all days, their habitat is dirty and neglect
The park is old and need some fixing. The show was ok, the speaker was funny. The swimming was best, nice instructors with a friendly approach to the animals. Shoes, equipment, towels and shower afterwards.
A very well performed dolphin show with Lagenorhynchus and pink dolphines funny live moderated. Sure fun for children. In general i dont like captured animals but these dolphins seemed not to be unhappy with their teachers. You can have excellent coffee there waitung for the next show (once an hour i suppose – they started our show at 1 pm with very few spectators). Show thai driving license dont help for reduce price, but they gave a special price of 100 baht for two ppl but dont take that for granted. Big parking lot available. Way out you must pass some boring souvenir selling places. Should be combined with other attractions or visit the beach of laem sing (during week time very empty) but nice beach.
Over 30 year intimate friendship between a man and dolphins! The place was established in 1990, when uncle Daeng (the owner) felt sorry to wounded dolphins that were caught in fisherman trawl nets and ended up butchered for the local market. He started to rescue and cure these injured dolphins. During his treatment, he shared a deep bond with the dolphins and found that the mammal is tame and clever (and adorable). Thus, he decided to train these dolphins to make other people know how cute and smart they are. Therefore, the place begins as a dolphin hospital and is now a “home” of more than 10 dolphins which are descendants of the dolphins rescued from trawl nets over 30 years ago (so, do not drama about animal abuse and don’t judge a book by its cover). After 30 minute driving from Chantaburi city and paid an entrance fee (130 baht for adult and 80 baht for child), we entered into the place. First, we strolled around the place feeding yardlong bean to Rusa deer (30 baht/set), feeding fresh fish to giant grouper (30 baht/set), and feeding fish food to carp (20 baht/bottle). Then, we attended the dolphin show that consists 2 pink dolphins, 4 Irrawaddy dolphins, 4 trainers and a narrator. This 40 minute show includes some basic shows like dolphin sound, spinning dolphin, dolphin jump through a hoop, dolphin balance a ball, etc. and their signature “skiing with dolphins”, this amazing show requires the unity between a trainer and 2 dolphins as he drives 2 dolphins (quite fast) as skis around the pool. All trainers are locals and using only hand signals (without a whistle) to communicate with dolphins. After the show had ended, we bought 350 baht ticket to take some photos with dolphins (my god, they are damn lovely). Also, there is a very interesting activity “swimming with dolphins”, but we didn’t prepare for that.Overall, I’m very much positive to the place. Although the place looks old, I feel that all dolphins here are happy and lively because they live in their home (most of these dolphins were born here) with their family. Moreover, the owner treats his dolphins as his family members (he sold his fruit farm to save his dolphins due to Covid pandemic instead of abandon or sell them). I highly recommend anyone to support this nice place. 5 stars.P.S. There’s also seafood restaurant and cafe inside the place.
The main attraction here is the dolphin show, starting at nine in the morning. Admission to the zoo’s show is included, but if you want to snap a photo with the dolphins, you’ll need to purchase separate tickets. You can marvel at the colossal sea turtles and gigantic fish in the tanks and even feed the carp. There’s also the opportunity to feed the moose, although the area has a strong odor of their droppings—be mindful as you pass by the staff cleaning it up! Make sure to capture moments with the animal sculptures along the path. The souvenir shop offers charming dolphin keychains, cute dolphin dolls, and some light, whimsical dolphin-patterned pants. Additionally, there’s a store selling intricately designed moose-patterned earrings and snack items.
