We came at a special time when they were having ceremonies honoring the Royal family member. They were firing firecrackers inside a large bell, and had decorations all over. It was a nice treat of Thai culture hardly often seen by tourists.
I have been here many times to spend couples minutes to pray and wish for good things to do in my life. I found that “Sa-Ded Tier” giving me the thought and emotional power to go on thinking about many things, reasonabliy.Peace and calm bring me “Sa-ti” to keep going on life ahead.
Visited this place many times with my friends/family. It is a sacred place for the locals with calm and peaceful sea view.
The Bluff at the Palace and Temple offers fantastic views of the Bay and National Park. Very serene and meditative. Touring the Battleship Chumphorn is interactive and amazing. A good location to pay respecta to King Rama V.
There are plenty of parking and this place it free to visit.A place to chill for a while, enjoy the sea breeze and take a few pictures.I would think it would be rather hot during mid day so many avoid such time.

A temple located by Chumphon beach that pays homage to the Thai navy. They have a gunboat that you can visit and see.if you go there by car or motorbike, beware of the one-way roads around the temple complex.
