Mike’s Authentic Trekking is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Thailand
We were two families interested to get out in the mountains of Thailand and do some trekking. We found Mike on TripAdvisor and booked with him a two day trekking tour and stayed over night in a Karen village. Mike a very knowledgeable and funny guide. We all had a lot of fun with him. He is Karen and knows all the village people. There he is a well respected person. We stayed over night in very nice basic hut overlooking the village and enjoyed delicious dishes. It was a very nice trekking and tour we did was not over crowded we felt very private. We can highly recommend to join Mike‘s trekking activities! Thanks very much Mike we hope to do with you another tour in the future.
to do once in a lifetime!!! the mike’s trekking experience is a wonderful way to know the local thai culture. Mike is a fantastic guy!! He is very gentle and a kindly person! The experience begins with the waterfalls and, after a fast break in a local restaurant, the trekking begins. During the trekking you can feel the emotion of being in the jungle in a very wild way, in contact with nature, and also mike tells you all about the local habits. After the trekking you will stay in a typical local village house where you can feel the jungle vibes. Was amazing to sleep there!The second day we did the bamboo rafting experience and the elephants tour, it was all amazing.We were 5 guys and we lived an authentic adventure in the jungle of chiang mai. The Chiang Mai tour with Mike was excellent, we went trekking in the mountains, then we went down the river on a bamboo raft, we were in the elephant sanctuary and then we visited a waterfall. Very cheerful and professional, we had a great time. I recommend it 100%.
This was really great experience. We were three families with six teenagers and we all loved it. Kids had so much fun. Mike is really nice and fun. He makes a song out of an every word ??. Views are fantastic. He loves the tribes and the animals so much. And the food was amazing!!! Omg! High fives!!! ????????
We couldn’t have had a better experience. If I could have given this 100 stars I would have. We did a 2 day trip into the jungle incorporating a visit to a cool waterfall, hiking through the jungle, a stop in a really cool traditional village in the middle of nowhere, river rafting and feeding high welfare elephants.Every part of the trip felt both authentic and also well thought out. Throughout the trip you got fed, very well. Im 191cm and 98kg and I didn’t go hungry at all.Our guide Sunnys knowledge of the jungle and just his general nature was just so nice. He was a great guide, stepping in to inform us about lots of really cool information about the jungle but then also allowing a bit of time for you to enjoy the trip together.Exceptional
This was really a great adventure which we didn’t want to miss! A two day tour with the best, happy and talkative guide you can imagine. We were also lucky with the nice group we were in (8 + guide). Everybody was enjoying it. The first day we had a great walk through the jungle with a lot of explanations by Mike. The lunch was in a nice traditional place and the food was very tasteful. The day ended at the authentic accommodation where we had a nice drink and great food. Afterwards we gathered at the camp fire. What a fantastic day!The second day we walked for an hour to get at the starting point for the bamboo rafting. What a nice experience was that in beautiful surroundings followed by a nice lunch again.Then another highlight: interaction with elephants!The caretakers take really good care of these lovely animals. You can feed them and after that we swam with them and we brushed them. Two days to never forget and an experience we can recommend to everybody!Thanks Mike!Floris, Kim, Yasmijn and Emilie
