  1. This is a must visit, as the whole space is absolutely jam-packed with vendors and sellers peddling everything from food to souvenirs to ointments and more food. The area is also reasonably clean given the high traffic, and I never felt for a moment that it is a sensory overload the way some people may feel at Khao San Road. The market also leads to a mall which I forgot the name, a basic mall but in front of it are some excellent pad kra prow vendors!Just remember this is an outdoor market and even though shades are plenty (there are awnings everywhere), the temperature WILL dictate how much fun you have. Obviously do not visit in rainy weather.

  2. We were completely overwhelmed by the sheer size and variety of Chatuchak Market! From delicious street food aromas to colorful textiles and unique souvenirs, it was a feast for the senses. Haggling is a must, and we managed to snag some great deals on handmade crafts. Just be prepared for the crowds and heat!

  3. Chatuchak Market is NOT for the faint of heart! We braved the bustling crowds and vibrant (aka HOT) atmosphere for some serious bargain hunting. We’re talking dirt cheap souvenirs and clothes, but be prepared to haggle.

  4. This place is vast, like huge and there is a great variety for sale here. You can get the normal clothes, bags, woodwork, souvenirs, but also some more bespoke stuff. Some of the furniture is incredible, along with the handmade jewellery. Well worth a visit. The large majority is undercover but also a lot outside, so you have choices. Enjoy!

  5. We lost ourselves in the maze of 15,000+ stalls, discovering everything from vintage finds to quirky souvenirs. The food section was a culinary adventure in itself. Tip: arrive early to beat the heat and crowds.

  6. Good market to be at, for local shopping; saw better ones than this though. Fair amount of ground to cover, and sections of what to purchase there can be found. Recommended!

  7. Fun day with SO much to look at. I would recommend you go for several hours so you can fully experience the full market as there are hundreds of stalls.

  8. We explored the vast Chatuchak Weekend Market, a treasure trove of over 15,000 stalls. The home decor section was particularly impressive, offering everything from handcrafted teak furniture to modern Thai designs. We discovered amazing exotic goods, including rare spices, unique textiles, and local artwork.*** Arrive early (before 10 AM) to beat the heat and crowds.

  9. The colorful atmosphere was lively, with open-air stalls everywhere. Souvenir shops galore—some interesting, others ordinary. It got pretty crowded. If you enjoy bustling markets, it’s worth a visit; if not, maybe skip it.

  10. We got lost in the maze of stalls, hunting for home decor. The bustling crowds were overwhelming, but we did snag some unique finds. It’s a market that’s as exhausting as it is exciting. Not sure if we’d go again, but it’s definitely a Bangkok must-do for the adventurous couple.

  11. Classic Thailand, this market is a favorite tourist spot for buying almost anything and everything that you want and probably don’t need. The aisles are crowded with people especially on weekends. Vendors goods often spill out into the aisles so you need to watch your step. It’s a colorful place to get household items, clothes, souvenirs and more.

  12. This market has mix of new and used apparels. Bargaining is must here. The Mall beside this market is useless as it contains only used (second hand) things. You need a full day for shopping in this market. We saw many people bought new luggage bags.

  13. Must go during week end with full pocket money. You can have all items at very attractive prices and have multiple options.

  14. Having heard so much about the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market, we decided it was a must-see while visiting Bangkok. As early risers, we hopped into a Grab (always a reliable and budget-friendly choice) and headed out. Arriving early turned out to be a brilliant move—it gave us plenty of time to wander through the endless aisles and marvel at the vendors’ wares before the afternoon crowds descended like a tidal wave. While we never did locate the exotic animal section—probably for the best, as we weren’t keen on stumbling into a reptile rave—the market still had more than enough to keep us entertained. From clothes to home goods to things we didn’t even know we needed, the variety was mind-boggling. It’s also a prime spot to test your haggling skills. Just remember, a smile and a bit of charm can sometimes shave a few baht off the price! The food scene is another highlight. With so many food vendors offering tasty, affordable dishes, we ended up snacking our way through the market. (Pro tip: pace yourself unless you plan on rolling your way out.)All in all, Chatuchak is a fantastic way to spend a morning in Bangkok. Whether you’re hunting for souvenirs, sampling local flavors, or just soaking up the lively atmosphere, this market truly has something for everyone—if you have the time (and energy) to explore it all!

  15. A huge place .. to much to do you can find excellent bargains.. friendly and helpful vendors.. bahtering is the way to go.. clean and safe

  16. The market’s buzzing vibe is pretty cool, and you really should check it out, plus hit up that secondhand shopping center right across the way. But fair warning: steer clear of those restaurants! Seriously, it’s like a scene from a bad play—owners yelling at tourists trying to enjoy a meal and, to make it worse, they’re taking out their frustration on the waitstaff like it’s a sport; I mean, who beats up on someone just trying to serve? You can spot them in their bright green uniforms that look like they raided a football team’s locker room. Just don’t sit down there; trust me, you’re better off grabbing a snack from a food stall and soaking in the market’s lively sounds and smells instead. Ever tried haggling for a vintage find? It’s a rush! So, heads up, keep your distance, have fun exploring, and maybe share a laugh or two with the vendors who actually seem to enjoy what they do.

  17. Man, it felt like a total madhouse! Seriously, I couldn’t find a thing I was looking for, and the noise was like a thousand chatterboxes all at once—honestly, my head was spinning! The air was thick with that smoggy stench, making me feel even more anxious. And don’t even get me started on the claustrophobia; I was practically sweating bullets, feeling like I was stuck in a pressure cooker. I just wanted to escape and breathe easy, but everywhere I turned was chaos. Just a little less hustle and bustle would make a world of difference. You ever been in a spot like that where you just can’t chill? I could use some quiet vibes after that whirlwind!
