Not fully open, empty spaces and boring shops. Better off at JJ Mall. It’s not worth the trip. Waste of time.
The mall is very big . Air conditioned . Filled with food , clothes and souvenirs but mall not fully opened yet .
I visited Chatuchak Weekend Market and found this mall by coincidence. Well, at least I didn’t know that it existed. Out of curiosity I stepped in and walked through all 3 levels. There are many small local shop with nice products at good prices. I saw several products that were sold at the exact same price than on Chatuchak Market, but there were a lot of other items as well you don’t find in the tourist malls. The food court is huge, very clean and with lots of choice. Everything is fresh thanks to the high food turnover per stall as the locals enjoyed ordering loads of food. I tried several dishes myself and was really pleased with freshness and tase. On 2nd floor I found Jasmine Massage and had the most amazing 1h foot massage in a very long time. Very well-trained staff and a nice and friendly atmosphere.
Located by the side of Chatuchak Weekend Market, this mall gives an alternative to shoppers who are trying to escape the heat.I guess it could be crowded once COVID-19 has cleared up.Merchandise are the same as market place and malls. A small number of interesting businesses in terms of merchandise offered. There are also a number of eateries and a food court at the upper level.
There were a lot of shops on the G/F. But most of upper floors were empty post-covid. Nothing too special but good to come in for some aircon after walking ard in the heat of chatuchak. There are also many shipping companies if you’ve bought a lot of goods or large sized items that you’d like to ship back home. Not sure abt shipping prices though. There were a few pet shops selling exotic animals. If you’re a dog lover, you might want to avoid coming here as some of the large dogs were kept in small cages and didn’t feel too humane.
Shopping mall next to Chatuchak market with air con which makes an ideal place to take a break, rehydrate and cool down when shopping at the market.
This mall good to escape the heat from chartuchak. 3rd floor good food court… 2nd floor is a mini akihabara? Full of anime action figures etc ! Wonderful !! 1st floor lots of shops too.. Great place to rest and chill b4 going into chartuchak to shop again
Went to Mixt Chatuchak several times on my recent visit (I had been there several times previously) & found it to be greatly improved compared to my previous visits. There are lots of different stalls/shops selling a variety of goods & a fantastic food court area that offers lots of great different food. There is also lots of “pop-up” stalls selling clothes & lots of other items all inside the air conditioned complex. They have also greatly expanded the toy stalls/shops to offer another great alternative to Megaplaza.A great opportunity to further shop but out of the heat of Chatachuk Weekend market.
My friends and I went to Mixt Chatuchak yesterday. Mixt Chatuchak is a mall next to the famous Chatuchak weekend market. They have lots of shops ranging from souvenirs to local favorites (elephant pants, herbal soaps, shirts), vintage toys, paintings, etc. After walking around, we decided to try the food court on the 3rd floor. The place was crowded since it was a Sunday. Before entering the food court you have to purchase a prepaid card that you will use to buy food (200 Baht will be enough for a single person). Other shops in the middle prefer to be paid in cash.If you’re a single traveler, it is best that you buy your food first and then find a table. For a group of friends, I told them that we needed to find a table first then one of us would stay while the rest buy their food. I managed to find a table but it was dirty so I called a buswoman to clear the table. This aunty was not looking somewhere else when she was cleaning the table and she dropped a bowl of unfinished tom yam soup on my lap. I asked the aunty for a clean cloth or issue so I could clean myself up and all she could say is “no”. I told her to hold the table while I went to the toilet and she said yes. At the toilet, there’s no tissue but they have a tissue vending machine. I place 10 Baht in the machine but nothing came out. No one’s around to assist me so I just cleaned myself up and went back to our table. When I returned, there were other people sitting at our table so I had to look for other available tables for us to seat. After my friends returned with their food, I got up and started looking for the aunty. I asked her why she gave our table to other customers and she just looked at me. It was then I realized, this aunty is not a local. No wonder she couldn’t understand me (I was talking in English and Thai). A lot of food courts, restaurants, and shops, employ workers from Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos, You will immediately notice the difference between Thais and these other workers. A Thai will continuously “wai” to say sorry if they made a mistake and they will try to help you, while non-Thai workers will just ignore you and pretend they don’t understand, simply put it – they just don’t care!My suggestion is to avoid eating at the Food Court at Mixt Chatuchak. There are better places to eat in Chatuchak market.
Improved facilities, a place of surprisingly cheapest but good clothes, professional Thai massage, good food court , huge variety of artificial flowers and plants , one of the best coffee shops…..worth visiting Mixt mall…
