Chiang Mai: A Day of Photography is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Thailand
Had a great time with Alan on this workshop. He has a lovely rapport with the local people. I learnt so much with my time with himSarah
Alan taught me how to move from documenting the journey to producing inspiring photos. How to interact with locals and take my time. As he has been in chiangmai for many years he knows some great out of the way locations to get great shots. In a day I picked up what could have taken many years to learn.
What a great way to spend a day!! Creative, spontaneous & Alan has the perfect entourage of locals & locations to photograph!
Recommended by the the magazine Bangkok 101 we did a tour with Alan November last year.Alan takes you to places you would never find yourself and introduces you to wonderful people that not only creates great pictures but also an experience of Thailand you will never forget.Organisational: Quick response. Easy arrangement of the date and meeting point. Thanks again Alan!
I did a full day photo walk last fall. I had a great time learning about fine art photography and portraiture, both of which I didn’t know much about. Alan was thoughtful and knowledgeable and helped me get some really great shots. His knowledge of the local locations and people meant that the day was filled with interesting places and fascinating people. Loved it.Will
I spent few hours with Alan on a sunday morning and it was a perfect way to spend time in Chiang Mai !! Alan is a very creative person and a great photographer !! His “day of photography” is a good option to discover nice locals and locations. (riding a bike is a +)
Through the recommendation of a local, my family went to wow88 studio to have our family portrait taken. We spent more than 4 hours there. A make-up artiste did our make-up and we then chose our backdrop for the photo shoots. We were also able to choose our outfits. The photographer was skilful, experienced and patient and more than 500 shots were taken. We found the pictures well taken, sharp and with good composition. We then selected one of them to be touched up, blown up and framed. All in all, a most fruitful and interesting experience.
I have gone on many photography tours and this was not one. Pretty sure Alan has never used a professional or semi-professional camera. Honestly, we were ripped off in my opinion. We paid a lot of money and wasted an entire day of vacation. Alan did not know anything about photography he had a point and shoot camera with auto focus. We tried to be optimistic at first but as the morning progressed it became apparent that this was a joke. Beware before you book.
Alan shows you to take pictures with your heart and soul. He ignites a little flame inside ourself. If you have a chance, don’t miss this workshop that can change your life. M
Had an amazing photo workshop with Alan today. Even though the highlight was Kao Soi at a local eatery, the tour was pretty insightful!
