Very good experience. A bit of sporty trecking through the jungle, interesting market visit and delicous food prepared by Chai. He is very nice and a very good guide. Wear proper shoes and bring mosquito spray – its jungle for real! 🙂
We did the day trip with ATV, white water rafting and bamboo rafting and had the best time. Chai, the guide, was hands down the best guide that we’ve ever had and was such a pleasure to talk to and learn more about the culture in Thailand. He planned everything out perfectly, with just the right amount of time for each activity (and what i would assume are the best providers/courses around for ATV and rafting), a scenic place for lunch, and even added on a waterfall hike afterwards.We wish that we were there long enough to take another tour with Chai! Highly highly recommend!!
I have spent some years living in the Amazon jungle in both Brazil and Peru so I know I enjoy being in wild nature. This does, however, mean I am sourly disappointed by what some think of as a “jungle hike”. Chai, was remarkable. He understood very quickly what it was I desired and he fully provided an experience I enjoyed and valued! He has knowledge too, and a great personality. Thank you Chai!
Chai was very thoughtful and caring on the day we spent going to the market and cooking at the Jungle Home. My parents are elderly and he was very attentive to their needs. We also had our 7 week old baby with us and he accommodated him too. Chai was very interesting when explaining about the produce in the market, and he taught us how to cook several delicious dishes for lunch. Highly recommended!
My husband and I had a wonderful day with Chai. He was by far the best tour guide we had in Chiang Mai. He customised the tour for us to fit in everything we wanted to do and nothing was too difficult. He ever drove around the village trying to find us the best possible lunch to suit our tastes. Everything was very safe, very fun and cruelty free (elephant wise). He was easy to talk to and felt very much like a new friend rather than a tour guide. To not use Chai, is to do yourself a disservice!
How do we could describe our day with Chai? Easy! Probably one out of the best day of our trip in Thailand! Chai isn’t only a guide but a friend! He brought us to the jungle, we glimbed beautiful waterfalls, had dinner next to a wonderful river, made rafting and took care, fed and took a bath with the elephants… All were tailor-made for our family! Avoid big touristic company and take Chai, the best guide of Chiang Mai ever!
We booked a one day tour with Chai, who is the guy behind Chiang Mai Experience. We went to a local market, the sticky waterfalls, Chai’s self-built jungle house, another private small waterfall and some viewpoints on Chiang Mai’s water reservoir.The tour was amazing. Chai’s English is excellent, and he knows everything about Chiang Mai’s surrounding jungles. Chai is an outdoor education professional and we truly enjoyed having all kinds of just-cut-off-the-tree-fresh fruits, climbing the waterfalls, and taking views over the jungle. The best part is Chai’s very own jungle house, where you can truly relax in nature.Chai will always custom taylor the tour to your needs, we just called him and agreed on what to do together. For us, the tour with Chai was the one outstanding day in Chiang Mai.
What an incredible day with Chai! He is so knowledgeable and easy to get along with and really just made the day as amazing as it was. We went to the sticky waterfalls, white water rafting and then to a smaller local elephant park which were all just phenomenal. Any questions you’ve had about Thailand – he knows the answers! We felt super relaxed all day and just enjoyed beautiful Chiang Mai. Lunch was unbelievable sitting next to the river eating delicious Thai food. I really can’t say enough good things about our experience today, just wow!
Chai was the best guide! It’s his own personal company and you can tell. He does such a great job personalizing everything to your groups needs. We booked Chai for 2 days back to back and it was fantastic! We got to customize all of the things that we wanted to do for the two days and he set it all up for us! He was super helpful and kind! We loved being in a small group and felt like we really got to experience Chiang Mai with Chai. Really, if you’re looking for a tour of this area, Chai is your guy! We couldn’t have asked for a better time and a better guide! I’ll be recommending him to all of my friends in the future!
