  1. Booked less than 24 hours in advance and was accomadated by an excellent tour. On the tour, I tried nine different kinds of transportation in Bangkok and throughout enjoyed the experience. Food and drinks is included which is always great when you at a new place and have no idea where and what food to get!

  2. For first timers as well as for frequent BKK visitors (we belong to the latter category) – GoBKK will open your eyes and provide you with interesting insights about this fascinating city. We spent 5 most enjoyable hours with rooftop bar hopping including spectacular 360 degree views, a great sunset as well as delicious cocktails/ drinks. Our guides (English and German speaking) were relaxed, knowledgeable and flexible. We look forward to another of their unique tours.

  3. Read reviews about ko kret so decided to go for it. We went through a boat from a wat n it took 2 baht ride. Its a quiet island away from hustle n bustle of bangkok. Small one. Can be seen through bicycle ride or by walk. Lots of dogs which was scary for me as we were walking. There some pottery shops. The most intricate pieces were expensive around 2500 baht. Some views of natural trees n green pond. Rest was just ok. Nothing much to do.On our way back, a cab driver took us to nearest bts in 400 baht n took us to mo chit which was far away. So please before planning to visit her, do work out the transportaion source to the nearest bts station.

  4. We went to Ko Kret for two main things: the Pottery Handcraft Group and Chit Beer. But there’s other stuff to see too—lots of vendor stalls on either side of the path that winds around the island, food stalls, a few temples—tons of opportunities to buy souvenirs. You get the idea. The pottery was great! Apparently Po Kret has been making mon pottery for centuries. I got a beautiful piece for myself, plus four more as gifts—all for only $50. And it was so carefully packed that I was able to carry it on the plane home just the way it was. Talked to the lady running the place—she learned from her dad, and now her sons are making pottery. Very cool. And then walk over to Chit Beer. We had a bit of trouble finding beer we really thought was good on this trip, but Chit Beer was solid! And it’s a little beach bar kinda hangout. I wish we had more time to lounge there by the water. Good times!Ko Kret Island was really fun, and you don’t need to pay for a half day cruise to enjoy it! It’s about 40 minutes up the river from the main part of Bangkok where the Palace is. You can take the water taxis, but we decided finding the right taxi from the right pier was too much of a pain. We just hired a Grab ride. The driver drops you off in the parking area of a big dock area. You can see Ko Kret out in the middle of the river, you just have to get to it. Walk down a little ways—one or two blocks worth—back down the river like you’re walking back to the Grand Palace. You come to a smaller dock with a covered waiting area. The boat to the island goes back and forth every few minutes. The cost was almost nothing, 2 or 3 Bhat. Do your thing on the island, then grab the boat back. Easy.
