  1. Smalls has let me down lately. It used to be my goto place but with the renovation and expansion the cocktails are severely lacking. 11 USD per cocktail I was willing to pay before and take guest. Tonight’s old fashion was literally one of the worst I have ever had. My guest from out of town also were not impressed. Just alcohol, no flavour or craftsmanship. It’s all about atmosphere now the drinks are out the window. If you want better drinks go next door to Junker a couple doors down. The atmosphere is still great but as resident of Bangkok I know I can do better for the price and what they offer. Just a few months ago I wrote the best review I ever had for these guy. Sadly no longer the case. What’s going on smalls?

  2. This is a three storey club located in the Suan Plu neighbourhood. The ground floor is a lounge area with a DJ playing music. The second and three floor is an open area with bar counters. The overall decoration is very cool and a great place to chill. I would go to the different floors depending on the mood. Nevertheless, it is always easy to find a place to sit here.

  3. On our trip through Bangkok me and my boyfriend visited this bar. A friend recommended it and the interior of the bar is really special. Also there is a roof top like 3rd floor. The concept of the furniture is also very special.Prices for drinks are very high.Recommended if you want to go to a hip place and don’t think about money.

  4. How can you get away with charging these exorbitant prices. The most I have ever paid for a Gin and Tonic anywhere in the world. No wonder you’re empty and all if the other bars are over flowing!

  5. We had a fabulous Christmas Eve here in strange times. The bar staff were so welcoming and friendly and we loved exploring all the nook and crannies of this interesting bar. They were hosting an Armagnac evening with the first Armagnac Ambassador in South East Asia. This small bar seems packs a punch above its weight in terms of innovation and hospitality. It is sad to see it has currently closed temporarily as part of the Covid restrictions but as soon as it reopens we can’t wait to return.

  6. This is one of those places that you just have to trust people when they tell you that you need to go there. From the outside, the venue is easy to miss, and it doesn’t look like a very big place. But once you’re inside, it everything you would want in a neighbourhood pub. First, don’t let the name fool you. The place isn’t small at all. It’s 3 floors of eclectic space, including a rooftop area (where you can smoke, ugh). Each floor has its own bar, so you’re not fighting for service with staff running up/down floors. On Wednesday nights, there’s live jazz music (currently the amazing Pong Nakornchai Quartet) playing. But it’s no easy-listening afternoon jazz, but serious long form improvisational jazz. Well worth visiting on Wednesdays just for that.Cocktails are creative, and pours are generous. It’s not the cheapest bar in town, but it could be one of the best bars in town. Book a table if you have the chance, you’ll need it on some nights. Bring your friends.

  7. Simply the best all around bar in Bangkok.great:drinksdrink selectionatmospherestaffartmusicsmoking areashead barmanfriendly crowd

  8. Its a really nice and live music place. Very small you need to make reservations to ensure a table specially on performance nights. They do charge a cover but we got rid of it cause we weren’t informed before hand. However I am they would have happy to waive the cover cause we were a party of 6 and we ordered 6 cocktails and 3-4 dishes to eat before we asked to pay the cover. we left early from there cause we looking for a place a little less loud. But there isnt anything wrong with the place. I wish i could have gone again another night but had too much to achieve on the trip so couldn’t make.

  9. Nice cozy little bar with live Jazz on weekends; good drinks and service. They also have a small food menu. Location is just down the road from the Marriott service apartment.

  10. We visited for a couple of cocktails at the end of a busy touristy day and were very pleased to be seated at the bar. We had heard of Smalls after watching David Jacobsen’s interview on Trends TV. We were in luck. The band playing and the singer in particular were absolutely amazing! I feel privileged to have been able to listen to great music in such cool surroundings, especially as I missed going to Q Bar many years ago due to jet lag. If you can book seats in advance it’s a good idea but we did just walk in.
