I visited this mall along with a friend in December 2016 as we were staying in a place close to this mall in the Sathorn Area. We came across it as we were looking for places to eat and we saw this huge KFC sign from our hotel and as we walked towards it we saw this Mall inside which the KFC was located. The mall was different as the buildings are styled in the portugese pattern where as most of the restaurants inside were serving chinese cuisine. There is a “Villa Market” inside which was nice for buying groceries which was a bit up market and also other small shops which were selling clothes, fashion accessories and make up items. This mall is also known for its “Cat cafe” and “Ice Hokkaido” center. For us the best thing about the mall was its 24 hours Drive-in KFC outlet which was huge in size and was always open.
This place has few good dining options and a decent grocery store (Villa market). Apart from it, not much to buy or see here.
We had Japanese Food at Sushi Hiro. Ordered 2 set of Foie Gras Sushi which was absolutely delicious. The steak was nice too but a bit overpriced in my opinion. Staff was attentive.
Visited recently this shopping and dining area during the weekday afternoon and was surprised how slow and pretty much dead this place was. To be honest, it’s not different than neighboring Central mall, but without air conditioning and many other facilities and services. I had a good burger there and if it was not for this specific meal, I would not come here. This place needs to reinvent itself, otherwise it’s poised for slow demise.
I live near here & shop at Villa Market on a regular basis. I’ve noticed over the years, as have my friends who also drive, that the parking garage is EXTREMELY narrow. There are a lot of marks on the walls and corners where numerous cars have scraped. It seems they ware trying to save space and/or money during construction, and they made it extremely cramped and difficult to turn between floors or to even park. Today I scratched the side of my car while turning. I’ve had my car in Bangkok for 3 years and have had no accidents or scrapes. However, today I scratched the sh%&* out of my car due to the horrible design from the idiot Somchai architect. PLEASE AVOID it if you can or be very careful when navigating that absolute hell hole of a garage.
