Just finished lunch at this gem of a restaurant. It was a feast of exquisite flavors. We had a salad buffet – plentiful, incredibly varied with scrumptious, full bodied delightful flavors. Hmmmm…mmmm yummy! Then we had our meat choices: Organic Banbury Duck breast- Smokey with an exotic rub, barbecued to perfection. So tender and juicy! The Korean Spicy Back Ribs was something to die for. It was first marinated prior to Sous vide cooking it. It was then smoked in a barbecue for 2 hours, then basted with a spicy, sweet sauce and finished in the oven. We also had Organic Chicken with lemon and thyme- came all the way from an organic farm in Isaan. Flavorful and moist! You have to be here for this experience!! Thanks Chef Chris Richards-Jones!!
I am from London but have lived in Chiang Mai for 23 years. Literally the only thing I miss about England is Sunday Lunch.I have tried numerous places in Chiang Mai and also Bangkok. That includes all the 5* Hotels and pubs in both Bangkok and Chiang Mai. This is the first time I have enjoyed anywhere as much. They are truly the best of the best. Nobody else compares to the quality you will get from Limeleaf. It was outstanding and with a choice of salads beforehand. This is excellence beyond excellence. I will be back next week. I am an Award Winning Restauranteur but this was superb and, definitely, definitely, definitely worth making the trip from Chiang Mai. I was completely happy and satisfied and over the moon about everything.
This was our second visit, Sunday Roast, and Salads first, and a Full Monty English Breakfast a few days later. The attention to detail in terms of ingredients and cooking is second to none, I’m a lifelong foodie and this restaurant has the potential to be my favourite place for soul food, I can’t wait to return and work my way through the rest of the menu.
Had an excellent Sunday lunch today, roast lamb with all the trimmings. Great food, excellent service and friendly.Thank you to Chris for the alternative cycle route back to the city too, much better than the dual carriageway I used to get there.
A hidden gem of a restaurant. Countryside dining in a quaint garden setting (tables indoors too); fabulous warm and friendly staff ….. and the best Sunday roast ever. Long, slow, relaxed meals. No doubt, we will be returning soon. It was faultless!
