  1. Our guides Kim and his son Robin leaded us for the non touristic Bangkok, which included some canals, buddhist temples and parks. It is really shocking how local people lives besides the canals. Kim is an excelent guide and after 15 years living in Bangkok he knows the local traditions and maners. However, most important is that Kim devotes his free time (weekends) to collect money for the orphans HIV infected of BaanGerda. Congratulations to Kim for his excelent initiative.

  2. It took our group about six hours to complete the 37km route that mixed city roads, residential streets, country gravel trails, and elevated pathways over the klong. It made for a sweaty, but excellent, experience. Highlights include releasing frogs for blessings at a temple famous for its resident ghost, feeding rescued cows, riding along the serenity of the klong, being able to pick up some speed on your bike without fear of traffic, and saying hello to all of the friendly locals. There are some sections of the klong pathway without a railing but it makes for a great thrill! Living in the centre of Bangkok as I do, you often forget how close and quiet other parts of the city can be; this tour is one fantastic way to be reminded of its diversity. The fee is just a donation to Baan Gerda (http://www.baangerda.org/) through Kim and his energetic son as they lead you around this special part of Bangkok, just because they want to.

  3. What an excellent experience e had on this unique bike tour. We are regular visitors to Bangkok and this gave us an opportunity to explore parts of the city that we would have otherwise never experienced. Informative, fun and interesting this tour was everything we had hoped for and more! Will be back again.

  4. We met Kim at 8am in the morning In Phatanakarn area. After a short introduction to the bikes and the day ahead we started the ride.I have been doing bike rides in Bangkok at Klongs and around the city for quite some time but this route was new to me.We rode mostly along quiet areas with little to no traffic and the ride is fairly easy to manage. The best part for me is to ride along the Klong, see the locals live, sell food, relax, drink, bath in the Klong or trying to catch fish. Halfway we arrived at the Suan Luang (Rama IX) park for lunch. We went to a local market to buy chicken with rice, fresh fruit juice or whatever we fancied. We rested at a quiet place in the park, enjoyed our food and took a short break. Then we headed back to Bangkok downtown. All in all it took us 5 hours to absolve around 37km. The tour was relaxed, interesting and something different to do on a weekend in Bangkok. Keep it up Kim. I want to do it again soon.

  5. Recommend every one to do this bicycle trip! You get to see beautiful temples and villages along the rivers. We rode through this amazing park with 7 different gardens with inspirations from different countries. We also drove round the water reservation that the King of Thailand have had built. We finished of with an excellent picnic in a park with a very good bike leader.

  6. brilliant day of snapshots of life in bangkok, I have lived here 2 years and have not seen such an interesting view of life in this city in that time…riding along the edge off waterways with dense tropical jungle spilling over cement bike paths, through small shops of happy, very friendly locals definitely unused to seeing foreigners….great day….you should do this ride

  7. Great day out in Bangkok. Bikes were in great condition. Kim is professional and knows so much about Bangkok and the people. He speaks fluent Thai and English so is able to take the group around and find what we need. Lunch was at a local market and we could choose what we wanted to eat. Saw areas of Bangkok I didn’t know existed. Took my 10-year-old and the pace was perfect. Highly recommended- very personal tour and not commercial at all.

  8. Anyone interested in experiencing a fresh new perspective of Bangkok should definitely arrange a trip. Kim is an amazing host – fluent in Thai, well-informed of local culture, expert cyclist – a true pleasure to be around. I will be back to do it again!

  9. After living in Bkk for 4 years, I am always looking for new outdoor experiences. This is a great way to know a different area of the city far from the tourists. We visited amazing local temples, explored real Thai neighbourhoods where we could interact with the locals, discovered new flavours in a fantastic market and enjoyed a lovely picnic in the bar. The ride is suitable for all levels and it is so good to know that this company is contributing to social projects in the country. A must do if you want to experience a real Thai sunday in Bangkok

  10. If you’re looking to avoid the typical tourist bike tour and experience Bangkok like a local, look no further! Kim guided my wife and I through the hectic streets and klongs of Bangkok with ease. A unique bike tour that highlighted the true diversity of Bangkok – and, to top it off, this tour helps support the HIV infected orphans of Baan Gerda. Highly Recommended.
