  1. I was happy to see that finally these great animals are truly taken care of, they live in their natural surroundings, relaxed and happy walking and doing what they wish to do. No ridding, not even a sign of ridding happening here. We got the chance to make the “vitamins” for them, as well as some snacks and feed with bananas. In the end washing them is also unforgettable memory. Not to mention the fun ride through the palms jungle until we reached the location. I recommend this place for everyone that loves these wonderful creatures and wants to see them living happily ever after.

  2. We had one hour and a half to spend with three female elephants. We gave them food, we walked with them to the river, we scrub their backs while they were laying in the water and then we returned to main camp with them and were offered some fruit (which we also gave to the elephants) and water. The guide answered all our questions. The elephants were free and seamed well looked after, something we much cared about. It took 45 minutes by car from Ao Nang including all the stops to pick up other tourists.

  3. Quite simply a life changing experience not to just be around these fantastic mammals but to interact with them was an absolute joy and a memory we will never forget. We were collected from our hotel on time and driven 45mins in to the jungle to the 100 acre site where these three mature female elephants are free to roam. Due to their mature age 57, 58 and 62yrs old they don’t feel to need to roam to breed and can be relied upon to be around the food source at certain times of the day hence you are able to interact with them at key times. You first receive a talk about elephants and their habitat and life in Thailand and then provided with some old shoes to walk into the stream after you have put some elephant food balls together however trust me they are only interested in the bananas which is so funny to watch how they select what they want. Then it’s a walk through the jungle to a bathing area to wash the old girls down which is absolutely brilliant. It’s evident how well these elephants are cared for and the dedication of the team who look after them. Highly recommend ??

  4. We visited after researching so many sanctuaries, I was overwhelmed at the mutual respect that the elements and mahouts have for each other, they spoke softly to the elephants who looked so happy and relaxed, rubbing mud into them was spectacular, they moved around you so that you could cover where they wanted the mud, then bathing them in the cool water pool and scrubbing the mud off, you would swear it was kinda tickling them. We cannot thank them enough for a life changing experience..

  5. What an incredible experience, such beautiful animals and no chains, ropes or riding, they are beautifully cared for and not too many people in a group.

  6. Please! This is not an “ELEPHANT SANCTUARY” they chain the elephant as soon as you leave they are not allowed to roam freely! It’s a lie! AVOID

  7. We booked the one and a half hour tour. It was amazing to see the elephants so close but the company wasn’t as ethical as we expected them to be. We felt uncomfortable watching 35 people touching 3 elephants, as we know they’re experiencing this everyday. The elephants we’re obviously trained as they performed tricks and listend to every word the instructors said. When we booked the Jungle Elephant Care House, we imagined elephants being in the wild and just feeding them. After the feeding, the 2 elephants were supposed to get into the water so the people could swim with them and scrub them. At this point there were 35 people onto 2 elephants. If you’re looking for an ethical company we’re the elephants are a 100% free and self-determined this is not the right place for you! We recommend to visit a sanctuary without nonstop touching.

  8. This was so much fun and such a unique experience with the elephants. Up close and personal – swimming with them and washing them and preparing their food. The staff really seem to care for the elephantsTip – don’t take trainers! Take water shoes as you need these from the beginning

  9. We where only people there it was like a dream come true elephants trained by voice no crueltyand a little jungle for them to live in loved every minute staff where great znd zmazing free photos

  10. Fantastic saved elephants so well looked after . No riding them or making them do tricks .The people that work and run the Sanctuary love the elephants (5 of them all older females )and really feed them well and care for them . They have the Jungle to wander around and a waterfall to swim in . I’d advise anyone to take the time to visit this place you won’t regret it. You get to feed them bananas and scrub them in waterfall.
