  1. I’ve been diving with Aladdin for almost 10 years now. This includes two long liveaboard trips to Burma and probably five or six shorter trips to Similan and Surin islands and Richelieue rock. All the trips have been memorable and I still keep coming back. I absolutely recommend the Burma trip. It’s a real diving adventure. The prices are very affordable and the value for money is very good. I love the atmosphere on the boat. It is probably the best I’ve ever experienced on a liveaboard. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Just remember to be flexible and everything will go smoothly!;)Jussi from Finland

  2. I can truly say this is the worst Live aboard trip I have ever been on.I booked a live aboard trip to Birma where except for the friendly and helpful Thai crew almost nothing was delivered as expected.1.Almost never picking up the phone to answer when you want info for pick up and departure times and anything else2.No Nitrox available as advertised3.Waiting all day of departure with no info as to when leaving and after departing waiting until night if can pass immigration or not.4.No dive guide supplied on the tour.5.Master cabin with no working aircon or hot water. No change of towels or bed sheets for a week. Room full of cockroaches even in your bed.6.Rental dive gear should of been thrown away years ago (So happy I brought my own-poor others who rented gear)7.No Dinghy or satellite telephone available for comfort or emergencyI stil love diving on Live aboards, but a warning to others, avoid this company.

  3. I was there on end November to middle to december. The owner from the company is an german guy, Frank and his wife Sophie work Hard to realize an nice trip for you. The have in Ranong also a very nice place to stay. The name from the Lodge is Happynez and is close to the Ranong Hot Springs. Its only an 5 minute walk to them. But let explain the diving. The boot is not so old, and you have also nice cabines, with enough space for you luggage. The Trips goes to the best spots from Thailand and to Burma (Myanmar). Your choice in which area do you want dive.I have found with that company and in this area my best holidays…I was also staying on Koh Phayam and Koh Chang. There are also very beautiful places to get out of rush. Best regardsAndré

  4. Started to request days to dive, always was pushed to go on live board on a boat with divers you don’t know, refused all the time and requested for a couple of dives first spoked again with the staff was told that I would dive on the 30st of December ok until here.BIG PROBLEM THEY DIDNT SHOWED UP DIDNT REPLIED TO ANY OF MY CONTACTSHOORIBLE LYING PEOPLE WITH ZERO SENSE OF HELP CLIENTS.

  5. I was going Diving two time with Aladdin dive safari to Mergui Archipel,,,,it was just Amazing,,,,Virgin island every where ,beuatifull Dives with healty Coral,at the end of the trip 5 rais manta in Black rock for almost 3 dives, all the Thai staff was tip top and very helpfull, the food delicious,,,the swiss and french instructor Marco and philippe was very professional,,and very passioned,,so we have an Amazing Croisiere, tout etais parfait et donc je recommande vivement Aladdin dive safari a tous les plongeurs du monde entier.

  6. I had a great time on this trip, but a diver has many choices of liveaboard, and I think this operation is a bit less well run than most.Cons:* Boat left 1.5 days later than scheduled!* Boat doesn’t have nitrox, despite nitrox being advertised. In fact, nitrox is *still* advertised after I asked them to take down the false information. Nitrox has not been available for at least two seasons, and will not be available anytime soon. It is just intentional false advertising.* We were informed of these things only after our scheduled departure time, even though the manager knew of these problems far earlier.* Frank, the manager, is a liar. He claimed not to know that nitrox was advertised as being available on liveaboard.com, and claimed he had no way to contact us earlier about the late departure. Based on my communications with liveaboard.com, there is no way either of these things could be true.* The boat didn’t have enough flashlights for all the guests, there was wet paint on the boat, and minor things like that.Pros:* The dive guide and staff on the boat were great, making for a relaxed trip.* The other guests were great as well. (Your mileage may vary.)* Mergui Archipeligo is a nice dive area — no other dive boats around, good corals, manta rays, many nudibranchs. The northern sites had better visibility than the southern sites.* Relatively inexpensive.* Four dives a day!So, overall, I had a great time, but do not recommend this company, especially if you can afford a more professional dive boat. Reading other reviews, I note that this is not the only time the dive trip was cut short due to problems with this boat, and I have no doubt it will happen again, as they don’t leave a day open for repairs between trips.

  7. We went on a 3 day trip to Surin and Richelieu Rock. We were scheduled for our pick-up at Ko Phayam late in the evening. Due to some technical problems the boat could not pick us up and we needed to stay another night on the Island (the company pays for this). During the trip the technical problems kept piling up. We paid for a master cabine with bathroom, but the the showers did not work. So for 2 days everybody had to wash up at a bucket on the dive-platform. We had the cabine next to the engine-room and there was never a quiet moment on board. The engine never stops, not even when the boat is ankered. The room was filled with diesel fumes, so we put our bed outside in front f the boat and slept outside. The second day the generator was broken, so there was no more electricity. Without it, the compressor for filling the tanks also dit not work. They then filled the tanks on other boats who were at the same divesite. The divegear was good. The food is very good, the Thai crew was very helpful (although most of them were trying to fix technical problems all the time). Many thanks to the diveguides! Steffi, Felix and Marco, you were the best!So the diving was very good, the crew did a good job and the guides were fun and professional, but the boat has had its time! The bad shape of the boat overshadowed the whole trip!

  8. Trip was cancelled day of departure with no prior warning. Coms bad with liveboard team. Not a good vibe on the operation. Whole trip messed up as Burma is obviously a choice pick and the Merit one of a few boats that go there. On the plus, there was some effort to find another boat and a refund.

  9. During a recent visit to Koh Phayam, I signed on for a day trip to Richelieu Rock, one of the top 10 dive sites in the world. Frank, the owner, organized a smooth and fun trip. It was a great day at one of the best dive sites in the world, and not too long of a trip by speed boat (a little over one hour). We were lucky and had a great day with 25-30 meter visibility on the first dive and even a whale shark. The second dive was a bit less visibility ranging from 10 up to 25 meters at different areas; but there were still many schools of fusiliers and large barracudas. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgable. I cannot review the gear as I brought my own SCUBA gear for the dive. I would not hesitate to book another trip with this company the next time I am in the area.

  10. We passed the open water diving license at Aladdin Diving school with the owner Frank and it was great fun. The theoretical knowledge as well as the practical open water dives were great fun and really professional. We also did a great trip to Richelieu Rock where we dived with whale sharks and barracudas. We can highly recommend to do diving trips and licenses with Aladdin Diving! Thanks again!
