Ao Yai Beach is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Thailand
What a wonderful place to relax and let the cares of the worlds drift away. The only thing as usual is plastic!!! I always go to the beach and make a point of bringing back more trash than I created. If everyone did the same hey presto!!!
Very peaceful and quiet beach. This place still not so popular and there are fewer people on the beach. Water is super clear and warm.
This beach is very nice and also a spot for surfing…one the few in Thailand. There are a lot of resort but actually is quiet.Unfortunately there are a lot of sunflyes which can damage your holiday.Better Buffalo Bay
Love this beach and area, not the most Crystal clear insta-friendly beach, but not crowded and very chilled vibe in the evenings, almoast like otres 7-8yrs ago before the thechno partys.
This is one of the nicest cleanest beaches I’ve been on. It reminds of the a beach in Tulum Mexico that I love….white soft sand that “squeaks” when you walk on it…The beach is wide and flat so the water is not deep fast….I live in Khaolak Thailand which has awesome beaches…I’ve lived on Maui and Kauai Hawaii which have world class beaches as well…Ao Yai is in a class of it’s own….I’m already planning my next trip and I just got back yesterday.
Great vibe, lots of restaurants and bars, good spot for kayaking, jogging, swimming, surfing. dark sand and sometimes sandflies, unfortunately. great spot for sunset
Has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and very few know about it. Plenty of nice bungalows and great food everywhere!
long beach is a very wide flat beach . The sand is very grey , and the water is always very cloudy due to the grey sand . The beach has a stable wave rolling in, which allows to do some wave surfing to some extend . Orientation to the west , like Buffalo bay, to enjoy sun sets Please note , there is no snorkeling on Ko Phayam, only option is to go to Surin Islands, but to my experience , this is also not ideal and not a cheap option either.
white sand, nice waves for surfing or play, long stretch of beach, great in low or high tides. One of the most beautiful sunsets ive ever seen was on this beach (when it didnt rain).
Nice long beach… Not that much charm, but we look forward to explore it more next time. So many restaurants we have not been to yet!Good possibilities for surfing (or just taking pictures).
