First of all the old location was totally wrong, the old location was actually the tsunami safe house, an improvement to the location has been made.Easiest way to find the temple is from the pier you arrive on, from here take the road on the right along the coast around 200-300m and you will see it on the left hand side or on the right hand side for the temple on the pier.Unfortunately all the shrines are run down, quite unattractive compared to other temples around Thailand. I think with the lack of Buddhist tourists this means a lack of donations to help the upkeep, hopefully more tourists will take a look here and give a small donation to hopefully improve this area because it could be very nice!As of yesterday, be careful If you go up to the big golden Buddha, there is a big Asian hornets nest in the tree, get to close and they will attack!Free drinking water is offered here.
This was an amazing experience! But be careful when you visit the temple, there are some parts that really need a reparation. We almost forgot the big Buddha, but that is also amazing.
More beautiful than last time, due to some renovations and paint. But some parts we were not able to reach.Well worth to visit many times. Really amazing at sunrise!
