Pijiu Bar nails the retro vibe and generally has five rotating taps listed on red cards placed on the counter. There’s also a fridge full of imports. It’s pretty hard to go wrong here, really. Tip: start your evening at Tep Bar, freshen up with a G&T at Teens of Thailand, and then roll in here to round it off.
We loved stopping here and having a craft beer! The atmosphere was nice and the beer selection vast! We genuinely enjoyed our visit and would stop in again if in the area.
Fortunately this bar was close to my hotel. Located on the edge of Chinatown, it’s a dark little place, but has a great feeling, even when it’s practiacally empty (not that it takes many to fill it). Possible that is because of the nice welcome you get when you go in. More importantly, it has a good range of 5 craft beers on, that rotate which is bloody good for such a tiny place. I tried most of them, finally fixing on a hoppy lager, which I drank on my next two visits.They offer a cold cuts dish, provided from a local Chinese, just large or small! I had the small and it was very tasty, so I can recommend you try it.A great wee bar; loved it.
A very cool place oozing atmosphere. Slightly strange to have my second beer poured into the same glass as my first beer without changing the glass. Staff need to know this is not good service especially with the subtleties of craft beer tasting.
Having a craving for a good beer, I bumped into this place, tucked away a in a side street of Rama IV Rd. The place looks a bit dim, but that just adds to the vibe with jazzy music being played. With 5 rotating taps and a fridge that’s chokers, you can’t go wrong on this place. Unfortunately, there’s no happy hour, which would earn them the whole 5 stars. Try the cold cut platter as well, very tasteful!
After a visit at “Teen of Thailand”, me and my gf had decided we need a beer or two and later walked into this craft beer bar. We didn’t know much about beer so the owner explained about what he had on tap as he poured samples from his tap for us to taste. We picked a Thai IPA and an american IPA. It was a good pint for both of us. After a while, the owner sat next to us and we had a really good conversation :).Good drink and good vibes. Couldn’t ask for more!
Nice speakeasy bar with good craft beer. Though a little pricey. The guys know there beers and really enjoyed a few pints of their local IPA.
I like everything about this place, its really on me. The bartender look very well know and explain in very well mannered..i like that. Cool place with Jazz music and Shanghai Era condiments. ..above that all the Beer by far the best beer i ever had in Bangkok. They serve local IPA, i order the harder the got and we end up with 2 RO. Well done..i’m sure hell i will visit this place again
read reviews about this beer bar of china town and visited. made – normal, nothing chinese in it just few painting. seems like a thai bar, small place but clean. beer selection few on tap and some were finished. those which were being sold were not great. prices too expensive, compared to the beer quality. would suggest to check the place and leave.
Nice little beer bar. They have a selection of international beers and few on tap. Worth stopping by for a couple Thai or Asian beers.
