Lee is a very enthousiastic, sweet and funny guide! She gives a lot of information about the history of Thailand, it’s kings and also knows a lot about all the tempels and historical sites. We were also guided into the lovely world of Thai food! She took us to local markets, advised us what to eat (or not) and explained how things are prepared. Toey is a real gentlemen, a lovely driver and always in for a joke. He bought local pastries for us and always provided everything we needed! They both took a lot of pictures and made movies for us as a lovely souvenir!Thanks again for the amazing trip together!!
It was a wonderful trip during that time.. my family enjoy visiting safari world tour with a good attitude english speaking tour guide. The price is reasonable, including round trip transportation from airport to hotel.Hopefully see you again in the next good chance. Thank you Mr. Matthew.
I am frequent traveler, and have operated my travel agency for 20+ years, while sending individual travelers as well as small groups on tours around the world, but I have never seen such a disaster of a tour guide/tour operator as I have encountered in Bangkok with this “team”, which is not really a team, but more a loose assembly of incompetent independent wanna be guides who were not screened by Matthew for neither their language skills, not knowledge of even basic history.The disaster has started when the first guide by the name Alex has not picked up our group of 14 people by the ship, as was agreed. We were scheduled for 8:30AM, but he has not shown up until 2 hours later (at first he kept saying that he is 20 minutes away, but in an hour stopped communicating all together). His English was incomprehensible, despite Matthew’s assurances that all guides were fluent. Being 2 hours late, he didn’t have time to show us Bangkok, nor even conduct a tour with narration of the Royal Palace (not that anyone could understand him, anyway). He has pointed at the Emerald Buddha, said “Emerald Buddha, let’s go to the next temple”. I was assured that next day Alex would show up at the ship on time, but no such luck, as he tried to trick us to meet him outside port gate to avoid paying port entrance fees (14 people with 28 suitcases!). After a bit of a fught, and 30 minutes later, he has finally paid the fees, and came to the ship, but on a bus way too small to fit all tge baggage. 2nd guide was a knowledgeable lady Nancy, but her English was at about 50%. Well, we were happy compared to the first guide. Bus was too small again, so had to squeeze baggage into every empty seat on the bus.3rd guide was rather fluent in English, and very helpful with assistance in suggesting restaurants, and buying entrance tickets, but her knowledge of history didn’t extend beyond pointing at the Cambodian style temples and saying “these are very old. 400 years old” (actual age is 1000+ years, and overhearing guides from other groups, it appeared that there is much history to be learned, but we were out of luck). Number of people in the group were very disappointed, and didn’t even bother showing up on the last day of the tour. I couldn’t blame them. In 20+ years of traveling, I have never once see such a disaster of someone who lays claims to be a tour guide/tour operator. Beware!
They have a lot choice of tour package. The tourist guide, Mayuree are very helpful and friendly. The driver, Mr Jo is also kind and friendly person. We had the best experience with them in Bangkok. Thanks for the best service
