  1. I can say I have been to this mall on occasion, and each time I am amazed how popular it is. Samut Prakan is a very different province from Bangkok. I would call it a working man’s province. there are few if any tourist attractions and is mostly industry. Because of that prices are Thai priced as this clearly is not a high end tourist destination mall. So of you want to venture just 1km outside of Bangkok, you will find this very wallet friendly mall.At the moment the easiest way to get there is take the Skytrain to Bearing station and then public transportation for the last 1km. However sometime in 2016 the Skytrain will continue on into Samut Prakan making it walking distance from the nearest station.

  2. Imperial World is catering mainly for the locals. We were practically the only tourist there. Perhaps its becoz of that the prices there are cheaper than those malls in towns. Their food court are certainly meant for the locals with cheap prices ranging from like 20-50 bahts (almost same as the Pier 21 food court in Terminal 21 mall). Outside the mall, there is a street market from about 5.30 pm onwards. Even the food sold there are for the locals. I could not recognize some of the food stuffs being sold there as they are not the usual night market food found so commonly in downtown Bangkok. There’s a lot of shops around the area of the mall. Definite worth browsing through them as prices would be much lower than in town area. Those who are visiting the Erawan Museum and the Ancient City should drop by for a visit, on the way back to town. It is only abt 4km from the Erawan Museum in the Samut Prakarn area.

  3. Fotget the rest of shopping malls in bangkok, you could find everything with very good prices, all prices are for locals not tourist trap, you may buy with thai prices. I enjoyed there

  4. Went there mainly for Big C as It was the closest to the gym I was staying at. Wide range of items sold. Prices are clearly stated. Clearly frequented mainly by locals = price-friendly :)Got a massage at a cosy, clean and comfortable massage place. It’s located near the back entrance of the mall. An hour massage for 180 Baht :)Around and opposite the mall, there are street markets. There are lots of meter taxis waiting near the entrance of the mall. So heading back to your hotel etc is a breeze.

  5. We stayed at a hotel not far in the neighborhood and came to this mall every day to eat and walk around. Not a big mall, there is a selection of food, including a food floor where you have to pay with a card that is loaded with money. The prices are very good, it has Big C and other stores. Very close to the elevated train station and there is a covered passage from it to the station
